‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is the hottest upcoming title as far as the MCU goes. The movie is already being praised as a game-changer and the studio is counting on it to restore some faith and excitement as fans are less and less interested in the genre.

Now there are quite a few obvious things why the movie generates some much hype. First, it’s going to be Deadpool’s first foray into the MCU. It’s also the first movie in which Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine variant after dying in Fox’s X-Men Universe. But there are also a lot of cameos promised from the aforementioned movie franchise, and some new cameos that are only being whispered about like Taylor Swift for example.

Now Karan Soni, who will be returning as Dopinder in the third movie has touched upon the original plans for the movie, and according to what he had to say about it the concept sounded very ridiculous, but I have to say am personally disappointed that it won’t come to fruition. Allegedly, the third Deadpool movie was supposed to feature Deadpool going on a road trip and saving Christmas, and yes, Wolverine would be in it.

Yes, I think it’s online a little bit, so I can. It was going to be originally a roadtrip movie where Deadpool tries to save Christmas , so we all go to the North Pole.

Soni apparently talked about this way before it was changed so now, he wasn’t even notified that the trailer is coming out.

I didn’t even know it was coming. They’re not telling me anything, which is good. Honestly, to bring it back to Roshan [Sethi], on our first date I recapped the plot of Deadpool 3, which I wasn’t supposed to. This was the Fox version, which didn’t get made because the studio got sold or whatever. But we just met, and I was desperate to impress him, and I just blurted the entire thing. I told him Hugh Jackman was gonna be in it – this was years before.

Soni also confirmed in a different interview that fans will be delighted with the overwhelming amount of cameos in the movie and that “A lot of people traveled to London.”

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is expected to release on July 26, 2024, after initially switching release dates with ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ due to the production being interrupted by the SAG-AFTRA strike. The upcoming third Deadpool installment is the only MCU movie to be released in 2024 after ‘Captain America’ was delayed for more than a year after extensive reshoots and rewrites.
