Marvel has plenty of projects bound to be released in the next few years, and we know that most of these projects have been stuck in a sort of limbo due to the historic SAG-AFTRA strike that paralyzed the whole industry as a whole, causing plenty of projects to be both delayed or altogether canceled.

One extremely anticipated Marvel Studios project that had problems way before the strikes began is ‘Blade.’ It is an MCU-based movie following Eric Brooks, the most notable vampire hunter in comics, and a reboot of the already highly popular ‘Blade’ trilogy that contributed to paving the way for the MCU that we know today

We know that ‘Blade’ production has faced numerous rewrites and delays, and for a movie that was supposed to be released back in 2023, it sure is taking a really long time, with even the main actor, according to some reports, reconsidering his role.

Now since we’re nowhere near getting an official trailer for the film, Teaser Pro released a concept trailer for the film, and the trailer shows that the easiest recipe, just Blade killing vampires, works every time. You can check it out below:

Reports have it that the original ‘Blade’ reboot story was supposed to focus on Blade’s daughter and two other female characters, with Blade taking a backseat in his own movie. However, after numerous rewrites, the movie is no longer a period piece and will focus on Blade killing vampires, as it always should have been.

It’s been confirmed that the movie will include Ebony Blade, with the movie’s title referring both to mystical weapon and to the main character. The movie should also allegedly connected to the upcoming Midnight Sons project.

In July 2019, Feige officially announced the film with Ali in the title role at San Diego Comic-Con. Ali previously had an uncredited voice cameo as Blade in ‘Eternals’ (2021). Stacy Osei-Kuffour was hired to write the film in February 2021, followed by Bassam Tariq as director by September of that year.

Tariq departed a year later due to production shifts and creative differences. Yann Demange was then set to direct in November 2022, with Michael Starrbury rewriting the script.

Nic Pizzolatto joined as another writer in April 2023, and Michael Green was hired to write a new script by November. Filming is set to commence in late 2024 in the United Kingdom, with additional locations including Trilith Studios and Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Cleveland, New Orleans, and Morocco. ‘Blade’ is scheduled for release on November 7, 2025.
