Percolating…The Future Of The MCU (and Nova) Is Percolating

Future of the MCU

Nova? Kamala Khan? LGBT Characters? Taika Waititi’s next Marvel project?

Kevin Feige, the mastermind behind the MCU does what Kevin Feige does. While out promoting Captain Marvel (something he does extremely well) ET Online caught up with him and asked him the question we all want to know. Is Nova coming to the MCU?

In a Kevin Feige-type way, he replied that the idea was “percolating”. While percolating doesn’t give a definitive answer, it does throw another log on the flame of rumors.

The entertainment reporting company then asked about Kamala Khan, LGBT heroes and what Taika Waititi will be working on next. Feige non-chalantley responded “Or? Or ‘and?’ Can’t we have all of them?” The interviewer than said that he’d like all of them to come to the MCU, to which Feige said “OK, “and!”

Finally, he was asked if any are closer to reality than the others.

“I think all of those are percolating and– Let’s put it this way: They’re all percolating. I do want to keep the focus on this one and on the immediate future, but everything you just named are percolating, some closer than others.”

Look, I know that this doesn’t mean that any of these will become reality but the fact that the ideas are being tossed around at Marvel is a good sign. Both Nova and Kamala Khan have been high on fan priority lists for years with Nova garnering a little more interest

Fans all over the world have speculated that after the current phase of the MCU is over, and with Feige’s desire to go to space, the future of the MCU is looking at Annihilation. The thought was further fueled by Disney’s acquisition of Fox and all the properties that come with it. Many of them play an intricate part in Annihilation, Annihilus and Galactus being the most prominent. If Annihilation is next, Nova is integral to the story.

Either way, the fact that Kevin Feige is thinking about any/all of the above, is a good sign the MCU will be just fine after End Game.

Cheers,

Joel
