Marvel Studios’ latest movie ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ premiered in theaters last May, and it turned out to be a much-needed win for the studio. The movie grossed $823.8 million worldwide, and it received a positive response from MCU fans who called it a fitting end to the trilogy and a sign of the old MCU when the franchise was at the peak of its popularity.

James Gunn filmed his last Marvel movie and ended his trilogy with a bang, and fans are already looking forward to the movie’s home media release. According to the latest reports, the movie will be released for digital distribution on July 7, and the physical release on Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD will be available on August 1, 2023. While we’re waiting for the home media release of the movie, it was revealed that the movie’s physical release would feature deleted scenes, out of which one will reveal what really happened to the movie’s main villain, Chukwudi Iwuji’s High Evolutionary.

One of the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ deleted scenes will reveal what happened to High Evolutionary in the end!

Chukwudi Iwuji, who previously worked with James Gunn on DC’s series ‘Peacemaker,’ where he played Clemson Murn, was cast as the High Evolutionary after he impressed Gunn with his work on ‘Peacemaker.’ The High Evolutionary was depicted as the creator of Rocket, who subjected him to various cruel experiments that turned Rocket into what he is today. During the movie’s climax, the High Evolutionary’s ship explodes, and we are left under the impression that he’s fallen down with his ship.

However, Gunn later revealed on Twitter that the High Evolutionary wasn’t left to die on his ship, but he was saved as well. And now, it was revealed (via DiscussingFilm) that one of the movie’s deleted scenes, which will be featured on the movie’s physical release, will show us how he was brought to Knowhere, where he was imprisoned for his crimes. The same scene will also show Kraglin recruiting Adam Warlock, the movie’s secondary antagonist, who joined the team in the movie’s mid-credit scene.

‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ was a rollercoaster of emotions and humor. The movie depicted Rocket’s tragic origin story, but it also featured a nice humor that we are used to getting from ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ movies. The movie’s ending has said farewell to some members of the team, but it also set up a new Guardians team that will likely return in future MCU projects. The movie’s post-credit scene also announced that Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord would also eventually return.

It’s still unknown when will ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ start streaming on Disney+.
