Premiering on November 29, 2019, ‘Harley Quinn’ got critical acclaim for its animation, adult-oriented humor, and portrayal of the protagonist. The first two seasons aired on DC Universe, with the third on HBO Max and the fourth on Max. A special episode aired in February 2023, and in November 2023, the series was renewed for a fifth season.

The season 4 finale left fans hungry for more content, as the story, even with humor mixed in only got more brutal. Luckily, we finally have a release date window for Season 5.

Season 5 of ‘Harley Quinn’ is set to be released in 2024 as ‘The Direct’ managed to verify.

Previous seasons of Harley Quinn had varying release schedules. Season 1 premiered in late November 2019, Season 2 arrived on Max in April 2020, and Seasons 3 and 4 were released in July of 2022 and 2023, respectively.

Season 5 seems unaffected by the 2023 actors’ and writers’ strikes, as Season 4 aired during both periods.

While the last two seasons premiered in July, the release of Season 5 depends on the start of its promotional tour. As the tour hasn’t begun yet, the earliest fans can expect Season 5 on Max is this Fall. However, it’s more likely to be held back until Fall 2024 or late 2024, with new episodes airing after the trailer’s release.

The final episode of season 4 left Harley grappling with her morals when she hesitated to kill the Joker after he paralyzed Batgirl. She and Ivy join Luthor’s birthday party on the Moon, only to discover Luthor has captured Superman and gained his powers.

Unable to defeat him and disillusioned with their business partners, Ivy and Harley destroy their enterprises with Batgirl’s help. They save Superman and prevent the Moon’s destruction, leading to Bruce’s release from prison and his return as Batman. Harley, Ivy, Barbara, and Catwoman form the Gotham City Sirens, unaware of Nightwing’s resurrection by Talia.
