Hunter Schaefer Would Like to Play Mystique in the MCU

Marvel is slowly preparing for the arrival of the X-Men to the MCU. The upcoming Avengers movies will not only integrate the so-called Legacy characters into the MCU’s storyline, but will also lay the groundwork for the MCU’s own X-Men.

In light of that, what interests most fans is who is going to be cast in which role. At this point, we don’t have any official information, but rumors are there, as well as fan-castings, which are always interesting.

A recent fan-casting saw Hunter Schaefer as Mystique, one of the most complex and intriguing X-Men of them all. Interesting, yes, but what does Schaefer say? Keep reading to find out!

Schaefer was asked to comment on this casting by the press, recently, during a brief talk. It wasn’t much, so don’t get your hopes up, but the actress has reacted. Schaefer was asked what she thought about the casting, and she gave a very simple, but straightforward answer: “That would be cool.”

Again, it’s not much, but actors and actresses don’t often react to fan-castings, which is why we wanted to share this with you.

Schaefer is a versatile actress who has proven her quality on screen, so having her play the shapeshifting Mutant would be a great thing. She has the complexity and the depth, and due to her own life story, she would be a great choice for the role.

But, as said, this is just a fan-casting, so don’t get your hopes up too much!
