Season 3 of The White Lotus ended on a high note on April 6, 2025 after eight episodes. And while it’s been more than a week since the season finale, the series is still one of the most talked-about shows at this moment.

And while the plot is generally the most common topic, there have been numerous rumors about problems on the set of this season, and that is likewise a common topic among the fans.

We know that Mike White had a clash with the composer, and Jason Isaacs, one of the season’s stars, called the seta cross between summer camp and ‘Lord of the Flies’ but in a gilded cage.” This resulted in talks that there was a lot of drama on the set, but Isaacs decided to set the record straight.

The production process of a work, whether it’s a movie or a TV series, is generally a complex one. The technical details aside, there are always a lot of different personalities on set, and as the director, you have the task of reconciling all these personalities to create a functional working environment.

This, seemingly, wasn’t present during the production of The White Lotus Season 3, and Jason Isaacs, ironically, was one of the main “sources” for these rumors and discussions. But, it seems it wasn’t like that. “Nobody has the slightest clue what they’re talking about. People who think they’re onto something, and it then gets magnified because of a thousand other people. Nobody has any clue,Isaacs said.

When asked, directly, about the comments about the set, Isaacs had a very straightforward explanation. “First of all, it’s none of your business,” he began. “I’m just saying it wasn’t a holiday, and partly I started saying that because people think we were on a seven-month holiday, and believe me, it felt like work a lot of the time. It was insanely hot and there’s all the normal social tensions you get anywhere.

Isaacs had been in the midst of gossip after his comment on double standards concerning male and female nudity on the screen, ultimately retreating there by saying “I said the wrong words in the wrong way. I used the phrase ‘double standard,’ which I didn’t mean at all.
