Jesse Watters Takes Aim at Bisexual Women After Milly Alcock’s ‘Supergirl’ Remarks
Jesse Watters has sparked an online debate after commenting on Milly Alcock’s recent remarks about her Supergirl character. The Fox News host discussed the upcoming DC movie during an episode of The Five, where he reacted to Alcock suggesting that Kara Zor-El could possibly be attracted to more than one gender.
The conversation started after Alcock was asked about Supergirl’s sexuality during the London premiere of the film. According to AP News, the actress did not confirm that the character was LGBTQ+ but gave an open-ended response about the possibility.
“I don’t know. I think that what makes this film so beautiful is that it’s not centered around a man, it’s not centered around love at all … But, we’ll see. I don’t really know. She’d probably go both ways,” Alcock said.
Her comment quickly gained attention online, with many fans discussing what it could mean for the future of the character. However, the topic also became a point of criticism from Jesse Watters, who shared his opinion about the idea during Thursday’s episode of The Five.
Watters questioned whether audiences would support a version of Supergirl who is bisexual and claimed the choice could hurt the movie’s success. He said that many viewers would not be interested in seeing the film because of the character’s possible sexuality.
“No man will ever see this movie,” Watters said while discussing the upcoming DC Universe release. He also added, “And most women won’t see it. The ones that do, there’s just not enough of them to make money from the movie, if you know what I mean.”
The Fox News host continued talking about bisexual women and shared his personal views on the subject. Watters said, “But the whole bisexual thing … guys don’t get into that. Maybe that’s cool when you’re 18, but when a girl’s bisexual, we don’t trust her. We don’t trust her. And the ones I’ve met are super weird. So to say you’re bisexual, it’s not a turn on. It’s not a turn on.”
After the segment aired, clips of Watters’ comments spread across social media, leading to strong reactions from many users. Several critics argued that his comments focused too much on whether bisexuality appeals to men instead of recognizing personal identity and representation.
One user responded by asking, “Does he think people are bisexual for the arousal of others?” Another person wrote, “Ah yes, the reason why women identify a certain way. Because it’s a turn on for Jesse Watters.”

Others pushed back against Watters’ claims, with one commenter saying, “Watters is babbling about something he knows nothing about. Sorry to say, guys ARE into it.”
While the discussion around Supergirl’s sexuality has become a major talking point, Milly Alcock has not officially confirmed that her version of Kara Zor-El is bisexual. Her comments appeared to suggest that the character’s story may not focus on romance or labels, but instead on her personal journey.
Supergirl, directed by Craig Gillespie and starring Alcock in the lead role, is scheduled to arrive in theaters on June 26. The movie is part of DC Studios’ new cinematic universe and follows the character after her introduction in Superman.
