Joseph Quinn Talks His Upcoming ‘Fantastic Four’ Role: “I Still Can’t Believe It, It’s Crazy”

‘Fantastic Four’ is MCU’s currently the most exciting project. The movie will introduce Marvel’s first family to the cinematic universe and reboot the original movie that was deemed as “not as great” according to the fans. It’s been ages since the movie was first announced but it was only a few months ago that we got a confirmed cast.

Pedro Pascal will be MCU’s Reed Richards, despite fans pleading with the studio for John Krasinski to take on the role. Vanessa Kirby will be playing Sue Storm, with Joseph Quinn taking on the role of Johnny Storm and Ebon Moss-Bachrach playing Ben Grimm.

A few days ago it was announced that Julia Garner will be portraying Shalla-Bal, a female version of Silver Surfer which left fans a little bit on edge and uncomfortable as the backlash on social media and ridicule was present. Some fans are already threatening to boycott the movie, a scenario that doesn’t seem so far from reality when we take into account the box office of ‘The Marvels’ and ‘Madame Web.’

But Joseph Quinn couldn’t be more excited to start playing his new role. Joseph recently answered fan questions and explained that accepting the role in ‘Fantastic Four’ was a no-brainer:

I’m really excited! I still can’t believe it, it’s crazy. We have a great group. When I spoke to Matt, the director, he had a brilliant vision for this, and the group we have, it was an easy decision. I definitely wanted to be a part of it.

Quinn also joked that he will be going method for the role as he will set himself on fire every day.

Little is known about the overall plot of the movie but we do have plenty of speculations. According to leakers and scoopers, the movie takes place in the past but in an alternate reality, and the Fantastic Four will already have their powers and be established celebrity superhero team by the movie’s start. Their reality will presumably be destroyed by something (possibly Galactus – who is rumored to appear in the movie) and they will be forced to relocate to 616. A few days ago, rumor was going around that Sue Storm will be pregnant with Franklin Richards, and the boy will be born in space.
