This summer, dinosaurs take center stage once again with the release of Jurassic World Rebirth, hitting theaters on July 2, 2025. Fans can already get their tickets to experience the next chapter in this beloved franchise.

Directed by Gareth Edwards and written by David Koepp, the movie is a fresh sequel to Jurassic World Dominion from 2022. It stars a new cast led by Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey.

Universal Pictureshas now released an insane clip featuring scenes with dinosaurs and plenty of action with the caption “Dinosaurs rule the Earth.

The film’s story picks up five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion. The Earth has become a tough place for dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures, pushing them to live in hidden tropical spots where they once thrived.

Scarlett Johansson plays Zora Bennett, a covert operative recruited by a pharmaceutical company named Parker-Genix. She teams up with paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis, played by Jonathan Bailey, and Duncan Kincaid, portrayed by Mahershala Ali. Their mission is secret and dangerous: to find the three biggest surviving prehistoric species on an off-limits island called Ile Saint-Hubert.

This island, once used for dinosaur research, hides more than just creatures—they run into mutated dinosaur experiments that have survived in isolation for years. One of the film’s big threats is the Distortus rex, a mutated Tyrannosaurus rex with six limbs, which was inspired by creatures from Alien and Star Wars according to the film’s effects team.

Development on Jurassic World Rebirth began as early as January 2024, and Edwards was hired to direct soon after. Filming took place in Thailand, Malta, and the UK from June to September 2024. David Koepp, who helped write the original Jurassic Park and its sequel The Lost World: Jurassic Park, returned to write the screenplay.

He had initially been hesitant to return to the series but eventually took on the project. The visual effects are handled by Industrial Light & Magic, who worked hard to combine practical effects and CGI to make the dinosaurs look realistic.

One of the standout dinosaurs in the movie is the Spinosaurus, which is redesigned based on new scientific findings. The team gave it stronger legs and a broad tail, making it look like a semi-aquatic predator.

The famous Tyrannosaurus rex also returns with a fresh look inspired by the 1969 film The Valley of Gwangi, described by Edwards as “a healthier, heavier, more muscular, more bull-like” T. rex.

The film introduces some new dinosaur species too, like Titanosaurus and Diabloceratops. It also features animatronic creatures like the small dinosaur Aquilops, which uses puppets to create lifelike movements. These animatronics were lightweight thanks to 3D-printed parts, allowing the actors to interact closely with them during filming.

The movie also brings back fan favorites like Velociraptor, Pteranodon, Mosasaurus, and many more. It promises a mix of thrilling action and new discoveries as the team explores the dangerous island and tries to protect the rare dinosaur biomaterials that could change medicine forever.

Jurassic World Rebirth is set to roar into theaters across the United States on July 2, 2025. Universal Pictures is the studio behind the release. Fans can expect a thrilling blend of science fiction, action, and dinosaur adventure that continues the legacy of one of the most iconic film series in history.
