Karol G Documentary ‘Tomorrow Was Beautiful’ Gets Trailer and Release Date on Netflix

You might know who Karol G is or you might not know who she is, but that does not change the fact that she is one of the most popular musicians now and that she is a stage presence with a lot of charisma.

Having a breakout album in 2017 (Unstoppable), she has since been climbing up in the industry, giving the fans a very special – if not unique – blend of reggaeton, Latin trap, and pop. Now, her life is coming to the big screen as well.

Namely, we’ve known that Netflix was working on a documentary project about Karol G and we can confirm that we have an official trailer now, as well as the official release date, which is very soon!

The documentary is going to be an all-encompassing one. It will tell her story from the very beginning, from when she was a young woman dreaming of a musical career, but was told that she was dreaming too big, that she would fail because she was a woman, and that she would fail because she was Colombian.

It will chronicle the story from Medellín to international fame, showing all the barriers and obstacles Karol had to surpass in order to become the global star she is now. The movie comes from director Cristina Costantini (Mucho Mucho Amor) and R.J. Cutler’s This Machine.

The trailer definitely looks very promising and we hope that the movie will deliver a good story and that fans of Karol G will be satisfied with this film. Titled Tomorrow Was Beautiful, it will premiere on Netflix on May 8, 2025.
