Kelsey Grammer Talks About His ‘Doomsday’ Appearance: “I’ve had a preliminary introduction to the idea.”

The MCU is slowly building the story for the Avengers: Doomsday movie, which is going to be a major cinematic event. The Thunderbolts* have been a success and Marvel is hoping that the upcoming Fantastic Four movie will be just the right thing to warm the fans up for the upcoming spectacle.
We know that both Doomsday and Secret Wars are going to fully embrace the multiversal concept of the current saga, which means that we are going to see numerous legacy characters appear in the movies.
One of them is Kelsey Grammer’s Beast, who first debuted in the 2006 film X-Men: The Last Stand. And while these movies are not part of the main MCU timeline, Grammer is going to reprise his role alongside other major names. In a recent interview, he discussed this fact.
Before we continue, here is a wide from the Literally! with Rob Lowe podcast, in which Grammer talks about his return as Hank McCoy, a.k.a. Beast:
It’s not much, but with so many conflicting reports and rumors these days, it is good to get something firm from someone who is actually participating in the project. We believe that people who are actually involved with the whole thing have a better in-depth knowledge of the project than some scoopers or leakers.
In case you’re unable to watch the video, Grammer actually talked about how he was “removed” from the original X-Men movies when they decided to go for a younger cast, but how he was brought back for a cameo in the MCU.
“I did a little scene … and then it showed. They put it in theaters. And the response when they saw Beast was apparently pretty breathtaking, and that was my ticket,” he said. “They called me a while later and said, ‘We think we want to put you in another movie.’ So I’m really excited about it … I’ve had a preliminary introduction to the [Doomsday] idea. They are still very secretive about the script.”
As said, this is not much and Grammer probably couldn’t reveal much more, but this is a very interesting tease in that aspect.
