Killmonger Voted by Fans as the 5th Best MCU Villain

Killmonger so far appeared in 2 MCU projects (not counting ‘What….If?’) but according to recent polls, he’s been voted as the 5th best villain to ever grace the MCU screens.

Killmonger’s greatness as a villain lies in his multifaceted character traits. His motivations are purely derived from personal and systemic oppression, as he aims to use Wakanda’s resources for global liberation. He has a relatively sympathetic backstory, and it certainly helps that he was portrayed with depth and emotion, by Michael B. Jordan’s charismatic performance.

The results are taken from Ranker’s poll of MCU villains, with 53 names on the list, I have to admit I was surprised by some choices. Thanos naturally took the number 1 spot, and I’m not sure whether this will change, even with the introduction of a new villain. The second place went to Loki, despite Hiddleston recently admitting that he doesn’t exactly consider the God of Mischief to be a villain.

The third spot went to Ultron, which is impressive for a character with a single appearance. 4th place went to Hela, and she is at the same time the only female villain in the top 10 as things currently stand.

The sixth place went to Helmut Zemo, followed by Red Skull in 7th place. Bucky Barnes’ Winter Soldier found himself in 8th place. Top 10 is closed by Mysterio in 9th place and Vulture in 10th place.

The last place on the list went to Eric Savin aka Coldblood from ‘Iron Man 3.’ Kang the Conqueror, High Evolutionary & Dar-Benn aren’t on the list currently.
