Krysten Ritter Comments on Social Media Hints That She Is Returning as Jessica Jones to the MCU

It’s pretty common knowledge by now that the release of ‘Echo’ made Netflix’s Defenders Saga canon. To be fair, the biggest part that motivated the announcement was probably the upcoming release of ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’ Following extensive reworks of the show, it’s been decided that it’s not going to be a reboot of the show, but rather more akin to the continuation of Netflix’s show.

Since ‘Daredevil’ show was connected to pretty much all other shows, in a direct or indirect way, the Defenders Saga needs to be canon. One of the most notable shows (and characters) within the Defenders was Jessica Jones, played by Krysten Ritter.

In the last couple of months, Ritter teased her return as Jessica Jones several times, first, she posted a picture of herself with purple hair, like comic-accurate Jessica Jones while she was operating as Jewel, and then she posted a photo wearing Jessica’s “Save Our Souls” shirt with a sly caption saying “IYKYK.”

As you can understand those are pretty bold teases, but Ritter insists that it doesn’t really mean everything and that it was all for fun, in her latest interview with Collider.

No, I didn’t. I have the shirt. It’s a great t-shirt. It’s one of my favorites and I was wearing it. I was like, ‘Oh, cute! Is anyone gonna recognize my shirt?’ But yeah, I did notice that it made some waves. That was fun. That means a lot to me, as well. The character means so much to me, as well. It’s funny that one little thoughtless Instagram story of my cute t-shirt that I love [got that reaction].

So far, nothing has been confirmed (or rumored) regarding Jessica Jones in the MCU, but considering that fans are extremely hyped for ‘Daredevil: Born Again,’ maybe the studio will rethink some other revivals.
