The Story and the Cast Just like the 2002 animated movie, the live-action remake follows Lilo, a young Hawaiian girl who adopts a chaotic yet adorable blue alien named Stitch. Together with her older sister Nani, Lilo teaches Stitch the importance of family and belonging.

The movie features a talented cast, including Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Sydney Elizebeth Agudong as Nani, and Zach Galifianakis as Dr. Jumba Jookiba. Fans of the original will be happy to know that Chris Sanders returns to voice Stitch. Tia Carrere, who originally voiced Nani, also makes a comeback as a social worker.

Success of the Original The first ‘Lilo & Stitch’ movie, released in 2002, was a big hit and earned $273 million worldwide. It was also nominated for Best Animated Feature at the Academy Awards. Stitch became a beloved character, leading to sequels, TV series, and video games.

With the live-action remake already getting rave reviews, it looks like Disney has successfully recaptured the magic of ‘Lilo & Stitch’ while introducing it to a new generation.
