Marvel Celebrates Pride Month with ‘Marvel United: A Pride Special’ #1

Marvel is celebrating Pride Month in a big way with a special comic, ‘Marvel United: A Pride Special’ #1. This annual tradition highlights LGBTQIA+ heroes and creators with exciting and heartfelt stories.
This year’s one-shot features four action-packed adventures starring well-known Marvel characters, including Avengers and X-Men members. The comic brings together talented writers and artists, including both established Marvel creators and new voices making their debut.
Al Ewing and Kei Zama bring Aaron Fischer, the Captain America of the Railways, into a fierce battle against the villainous Hate-Monger. Anthony Oliveira and Pablo Collar tell a powerful World War II story featuring Arnie Roth and Captain America fighting Hydra, with connections to the AVENGERS ACADEMY Infinity Comic series.
Wyatt Kennedy and Bayleigh Underwood explore a new chapter in Mystique and Destiny’s romance, focusing on their journey into parenthood with their son Nightcrawler. Zoe Tunnell and Federica Mancin introduce a thrilling heist where Black Cat teams up with the celestial hero Sera to face the terrifying demon D’Spayre.
The issue also includes interviews and insightful essays that celebrate LGBTQIA+ representation in Marvel Comics.
‘’Marvel United: A Pride Special’ #1’ is written by Al Ewing, Anthony Oliveira, Wyatt Kennedy, and Zoe Tunnell, with art by Kei Zama, Pablo Collar, Bayleigh Underwood, and Federica Mancin.
The comic features a stunning main cover by Lucas Werneck, along with variant covers by Jan Bazaldua, Ernanda Souza, Luciano Vecchio, and Rickie Yagawa.
