Marvel Reveals New Pride 2025 Covers with Stunning LGBTQIA+ Heroes

Marvel Comics is bringing back its Pride celebration this June with six special Pride Variant Covers for 2025. These new covers are all drawn by artist Meghan Hetrick and feature a mix of fan-favorite LGBTQIA+ characters and exciting new ones.
This marks the fifth year in a row that Marvel has released Pride-themed variant covers. Each cover puts the spotlight on LGBTQIA+ characters from across the Marvel Universe. You’ll find these covers on issues of popular comics throughout the month of June, including:
- Deadpool (2024) #15
- Exceptional X-Men (2024) #10
- Immortal Thor (2023) #24
- New Champions (2025) #6
- Runaways (2025) #1
- X-Men (2024) #17
Here are the six characters featured on this year’s covers:
1. Kitty Pryde
A long-time X-Men member and leader, Kitty is now helping young mutants in Exceptional X-Men, written by Eve L. Ewing. She’s always been a strong part of the mutant community, and now she’s back on the front lines.
2. Kid Juggernaut (Justin Jin)
A newer hero who first appeared in Marvel’s Voices Infinity Comic, Justin comes from a family with ties to the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak. Now he’s using his strength to help others in Avengers Academy stories on Marvel Unlimited.
3. Loki
The trickster god has come a long way. Once a villain, Loki is now one of Marvel’s most complex and interesting characters. They currently appear in Immortal Thor, a bold series by Al Ewing and Jan Bazaldua.
4. Nico Minoru
Known from Runaways and Midnight Suns, Nico is a young sorceress with a lot of power and heart. She returns in June in a new One World Under Doom series by Rainbow Rowell and Elena Casagrande.
5. Prodigy (David Alleyne)
A genius-level mutant from the Academy X era of the X-Men. Prodigy has also appeared in Young Avengers, X-Factor, and now NYX. He’s a strong, smart character who keeps growing with each story.
6. Valentine Vuong
Valentine is a deadly assassin who also became Deadpool’s love interest in Alyssa Wong’s 2022 Deadpool run. Valentine is now back in Wade’s latest adventures, written by Cody Ziglar.
Marvel’s Pride 2025 covers are all about celebrating representation, identity, and the power of heroes being true to themselves. These covers will be available in comic shops all through June.
