A new teaser for Fantastic Four: First Steps has given fans a closer look at some important characters, especially the cosmic villain Galactus and the young Franklin Richards. This film marks the first time the Fantastic Four appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), with a planned release date of July 25, 2025.

The story is set on a retro-futuristic Earth inspired by the 1960s. Here, the Fantastic Four face a huge danger: Galactus, a giant cosmic being who survives by consuming planets. Ralph Ineson plays Galactus and describes him as a “humongous, 14-billion-year-old, planet-devouring cosmic vampire.” Unlike earlier versions where Galactus appeared more like a cloud, this movie uses a comic-accurate design.

Another key character is Franklin Richards, the infant son of Reed Richards and Sue Storm. While still a baby in this film, Franklin is known in the comics for having powerful abilities. An infant actor plays him, hinting at his future importance in the MCU.

The Fantastic Four team includes Reed Richards (played by Pedro Pascal), who is extremely smart and often compared to famous thinkers like Steve Jobs and Albert Einstein. Sue Storm, played by Vanessa Kirby, is Reed’s wife and the emotional core of the group. The team also includes Ben Grimm, known as The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and Johnny Storm, the Human Torch (Joseph Quinn).

This film stands out by skipping the usual origin story. Instead, it focuses on the team already formed and dealing with the challenge of Galactus threatening their world. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has shared his excitement about properly introducing the Fantastic Four to the MCU, and the teaser shows the high stakes the characters will face.

Ineson shared his thoughts on Galactus, saying he doesn’t see him as simply evil but as a “god of sorts” who does what he must to survive. This adds depth to the villain and suggests the film will explore more complex themes.

Julia Garner appears as the Silver Surfer, Galactus’s herald, bringing even more cosmic elements into the story. Together, these characters promise an exciting mix of action and drama.

Fantastic Four: First Steps will launch Phase Six of the MCU, blending retro style, cosmic threats, and family dynamics. The teaser suggests a story full of emotion and high tension, with Galactus looming large and the young Franklin Richards hinting at a bigger future.
