New “Mandalorian & Grogu” Trailer Shows Battle Against Imperial Warlords
A new trailer for “Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu” has been released, giving fans another look at the upcoming big-screen adventure. The film continues the story from the Disney+ series “The Mandalorian” and follows Din Djarin and Grogu on a new mission across the galaxy.
The trailer shows the pair, known as the Clan of Two, working with the New Republic. They are recruited by Colonel Ward, played by Sigourney Weaver, to track down Imperial warlords who have spread out after the fall of the Empire.
The footage also includes action scenes, space chases, and several light moments featuring Grogu. One of the lines in the trailer comes from Din Djarin, played by Pedro Pascal, who tells his young companion, “The old protect the young, and then the young protect the old.”
Fans also get a first look at Rotta the Hutt, a character from the “Clone Wars” animated film. In this new version, Rotta is voiced by Jeremy Allen White.
The film is directed by Jon Favreau, who also created “The Mandalorian” series and wrote many of its episodes. According to Favreau, bringing the story to the big screen is something he has wanted to do for a long time. He said, “I have loved telling stories set in the rich world that George Lucas created. The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting.”
The movie is produced by Jon Favreau together with Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce. Ludwig Göransson is returning to compose the music for the film.
“The Mandalorian & Grogu” is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 22.
