A popular action-adventure game is making its way to smartphones and tablets soon. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will launch on Android and iOS on April 14.

Players take on the role of Sargon, a young warrior from a skilled group called The Immortals. His mission is to rescue Prince Ghassan, who has been kidnapped.

The journey takes Sargon to Mount Qaf, a mythical place now twisted by a strange time curse. To succeed, he must fight enemies, solve tricky puzzles, and use special time-bending abilities.

The game, already out on PC, consoles, and Mac, has won praise for its fast combat and smooth movement. Ubisoft Da Nang has adapted it for mobile, ensuring it runs at 60 frames per second on newer devices.

Players can choose between touch controls or an external controller. Both options let you adjust the controls to fit your style.

New features like auto-parry, auto-potion, and slow-time modes make the game easier to play on the go. These additions, along with accessibility options, earned the game an Innovation in Accessibility Award in 2024.

Pre-registration is open now on the Google Play Store and iOS App Store. A free trial will also be available, letting players test it before buying the full version with a single in-app purchase.

The mobile release brings all the content from the original game, plus extras designed for handheld play. However, fans hoping for a sequel might be disappointed. The development team has reportedly disbanded after the game didn’t sell as well as expected.

Bringing Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown to mobile is a smart move. It gives more people a chance to try this well-made game, especially with the free trial. The new features sound helpful for casual players, and the smooth performance is a big plus. Still, it’s a shame the team won’t get to build on this story.
