‘Reacher’ Breakout Agnez Mo (40) Brings Edgy Glam to ‘Rolling Loud: The Movie’ Premiere
Agnez Mo has spent years as one of Indonesia’s biggest pop stars, but 2026 has turned into a banner year for her on screen. Known professionally as Agnez Mo and previously as Agnes Monica, the singer, songwriter and actress is now in the middle of a genuine career resurgence. Wherever she steps out, fans and photographers are paying attention.
The spark for that buzz is her role in ‘Reacher’ Season 4, which premiered on Prime Video on Aug. 12 and is based on Lee Child’s ‘Gone Tomorrow.’ Mo plays Lila Hoth, an Indonesian assassin posing as a journalist who forms a complicated bond with Jack Reacher himself. The part marked her return to screen acting after a decade-long hiatus, and she reportedly auditioned anonymously so she could win it on merit.
Mo’s latest red carpet turn came in Los Angeles at the Ketchup Entertainment premiere of ‘Rolling Loud: The Movie,’ held at United Artists Theatre on Sept. 30. Photos shared on Oct. 1 show her posing in front of the film’s bright pink and purple step-and-repeat.

Her outfit leaned edgy and playful. She wore a black-and-white distressed knit top with contrast trim, paired with a black leather skirt with buckled detailing, and carried a black helmet-style bag. Thick dark-rimmed glasses, bold hoop earrings, stacked bracelets and a slicked-back hairstyle finished the look.
The choice suited the occasion. ‘Rolling Loud: The Movie’ is a comedy built around one of the world’s biggest hip-hop festivals, and Mo has her own history in the genre. She teamed up with Timbaland and T.I. on her 2014 single ‘Coke Bottle,’ which blended R&B and hip-hop.
Directed and written by Jeremy Garelick, the R-rated comedy follows an overprotective father, played by Owen Wilson, who makes a terrible parenting decision. He secretly sneaks his 13-year-old son, played by Christian Convery, into Rolling Loud in Miami, where Travis Scott is headlining. The adventure gets even wilder with a reckless co-worker played by Matt Rife and an eccentric festival volunteer played by Christine Ko.
The story is inspired by Garelick’s own experience at Rolling Loud with his teenager. The cast is stacked with music names, including Travis Scott, Sexyy Red, Ski Mask the Slump God and Ty Dolla $ign, plus Henry Winkler. Rolling Loud itself was founded in 2015 by childhood friends and Miami natives Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif.
The film opened in theaters on Oct. 2 with a runtime of about 1 hour and 35 minutes. UPI’s review called it an amusing enough diversion for the weekend. The outlet also praised how well the film captures the festival’s energy, with hundreds of extras filling the background.
Mo’s turn on ‘Reacher’ pushed her well beyond a typical villain role. Lila Hoth spends much of the season hiding her true motives, and the character’s action scenes incorporate Indonesian pencak silat and karambit fighting. Reports say she trained for months in bladed combat ahead of a brutal finale fight.

That performance has fueled talk about where her career might go next, including fan-casting buzz for Marvel and DC projects. Her co-star Anggun, who plays her mother Amisha Hoth, has also become part of the conversation around the season. Together, the two Indonesian music icons have been among the most talked-about additions to the show.
For now, Mo is clearly enjoying the spotlight, and her premiere look proves she can shift from assassin to fashion statement with ease.
