Some fans might say that the Marvel Cinematic Universe doesn’t feel the same and that the franchise has lost its touch since the conclusion of the Infinity Saga. Still, even though only one MCU movie managed to earn more than a billion dollars since the Multiverse Saga kicked off in 2021, there’s no denying that the MCU still holds many interesting things, to say the least, in its store for the future.

After the conclusion of the Infinity Saga, the Marvel Cinematic Universe needed to find a new central storyline. For a good amount of Phase 4, it seemed like the franchise was going nowhere. And then, at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige officially announced two new ‘Avengers’ movies, ‘The Kang Dynasty’ and ‘Secret Wars,’ confirming that the ongoing Multiverse Saga leads to the next two-part crossover event, which is set to feature Kang the Conqueror as the next ultimate villain.

The events of ‘Deadpool 3’ are rumored to lead directly to the events of ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’

Apart from two upcoming Avengers movies, MCU has a few more very anticipated projects, including ‘Deadpool 3,’ which will incorporate the ‘Merc with a Mouth’ into the franchise and potentially make him a part of the upcoming crossovers.

According to CanWeGetSomeToast, a new rumor suggests that the upcoming ‘Deadpool’ threequel will lead directly into the events of ‘Avengers: Secret Wars.’ And it doesn’t stop there; it also mentions the ‘Deadpool 3’ director Shawn Levy as a potential candidate to direct ‘Secret Wars.’

‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ is set to be the finale of the Multiverse Saga, and it’s expected that its predecessor, ‘The Kang Dynasty,’ will set up the stage for it along with all the other projects that will be released ahead of it.

This year’s ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ and the upcoming second season of ‘Loki’ are currently building up the stage for Kang the Conqueror to become the next big bad in ‘The Kang Dynasty,’ and who knows what awaits us after that.

Unlike ‘Infinity War’ and ‘Endgame,’ the upcoming ‘Avengers’ movies won’t be produced back-to-back, and they will be developed by two different teams of writers and directors. Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously directed ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,’ is officially set to direct ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty,’ but it’s still unknown who will direct ‘Secret Wars.’

‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ will conclude the ongoing Multiverse Saga on May 7, 2027.
