MCU has quite a slate of movies coming up, even though Marvel Studios has hit a rough patch with the last couple of projects. There have been talks about releasing fewer projects, as fans are definitely becoming tired of shows and movies of lower quality; still, if one character always managed to drag people to movies, it’s Spider-Man, by far the most profitable Marvel franchise, no matter the product you’re looking at.

So far, talking about the MCU specifically, Spider-Man has three standalone movies and a fourth on the way. This was confirmed several months ago by producer Amy Pascal, who confirmed that the work on the sequel has been ongoing but stopped due to the solidarity with the ongoing WGA Strike. Now that the strike is over the development continues. Recently we’ve covered that it’s still being discussed whether ‘Spider-Man 4’ will be a multiverse or street-level story, and today’s rumors somewhat point in the direction of it being a multiverse one.

According to Daniel Richtman, a notable scooper and leaker, Feige and Pascal are aiming for Miles Morales to be introduced in the ‘Spider-Man 4.’

This isn’t as surprising since Miles Morales is definitely one of the most popular comic book characters in recent years, mainly due to a highly successful series of movies revolving around Spider-Verse. Speaking of Miles Morales, recently Amy Pascal confirmed that Miles Morales is not going to get his own standalone movie until they release the third installment in the Spider-Verse series and the live-action ‘Spider-Man 4.’ But, according to the same rumors, the talk around the block is that Miles’ live-action movie will be set within the MCU, so it only makes sense to include him in ‘Spider-Man 4’ even if briefly.

In any case, little is known regarding the plot of the upcoming ‘Spider-Man’ movie, but on February 14, 2023, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kevin Feige revealed that the film’s story had been completed and that the writers were beginning to pen the film’s script.
