‘Sinners’ is an upcoming American horror movie created by Ryan Coogler, who wrote, directed, and produced the film. The star-studded cast includes Michael B. Jordan, playing two roles as twin brothers, alongside Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller, and Delroy Lindo.

The story follows twin brothers trying to escape their troubled past by returning to their hometown, only to find an even darker threat awaiting them. The film is set to release in the U.S. on April 18, 2025, promising a chilling blend of suspense, drama, and horror.

Now according to The Wrap, an early screening of Sinners had the audience clapping multiple times because of exciting moments. One viewer said it felt like watching an Avengers movie, meaning it was thrilling and crowd-pleasing. The film also has two extra post-credits scenes, just like many Marvel movies.

In January 2024, Ryan Coogler began developing a genre film based on his original idea, which he wrote, directed, and co-produced through his company, Proximity Media. Michael B. Jordan, a frequent collaborator, was cast in the lead role.

The movie was described as a period vampire film, with a production budget of approximately $90 million. Sony, Warner Bros., and Universal Pictures competed for the distribution rights, and Warner Bros. ultimately secured the deal in February 2024.

Ryan Coogler is reportedly planning to turn ‘Sinners’ into a full-fledged franchise, aiming to create multiple films based on the story and its universe. This suggests he envisions the film as more than a standalone project, with the potential to expand the narrative and build a larger world over several installments. Given Coogler’s success with franchises like ‘Black Panther’ and ‘Creed,’ we have high hopes!
