‘Star Wars’ Teams Up With Fossil for ‘The Mandalorian’ Inspired Grogu Watch That Literally Giggles
Fossil has teamed up with the Star Wars franchise to release a new limited watch collection that brings characters from The Mandalorian into wearable form. The launch, confirmed by Fossil, includes two different designs inspired by Din Djarin and Grogu, with each watch built around detailed character themes and collector-focused features.
One of the standout pieces is the Everett Mandalorian model. It comes in a larger 42MM gunmetal stainless steel case with a matching metal band. The design takes clear inspiration from Mandalorian armor, with layered dial elements that resemble beskar plating.
It also includes glowing hour markers and a custom-style hand design influenced by the Razor Crest ship. The back of the watch features engraved artwork connected to the “Clan of Two,” giving it a strong collector feel.

The second model focuses on Grogu. The Neutra Grogu watch has a smaller 38MM silver case and uses a soft suede strap that references the character’s robe-like look. Its dial is green-toned with luminous details and a more playful design style. The case also includes textured elements that mirror Grogu’s pram.

Both watches are sold as numbered limited editions and come in special packaging. According to Fossil, the boxes include sound features tied to the characters. One plays the phrase “This is the way,” while the other includes Grogu’s audio moments, including a line followed by his signature giggle. Buyers also get collectible pins and certificates of authenticity.
The collection is set to release on May 4 through Fossil’s official website and selected stores.
These watches feel aimed directly at fans who enjoy detailed collectibles as much as practical accessories. The design effort is clearly strong, but the real question is how far themed merchandise should go into novelty features like sound effects. It does add personality, but it may also make some pieces feel less like classic watches and more like display items.
What do you think about Star Wars-inspired watches like this? Would you wear one, or is it more of a collector’s piece for you? Share your thoughts in the comments.
