Suki Waterhouse Reveals Her Daughter’s Adorable ‘Daddy Batman’ Nickname for Robert Pattinson & We Love It

Robert Pattinson may be spending months covered in fake blood and black makeup while filming The Batman: Part II, but to his daughter, he is simply “Daddy Batman.”

Suki Waterhouse recently shared the sweet family detail during a YouTube interview, offering fans a rare look at what life is like for the couple while Pattinson is busy filming the next Batman movie.

Waterhouse explained that their young daughter has already gotten used to seeing her dad in full Batman mode. Pattinson has been filming the sequel in the UK, and his on-set look can be pretty intense. According to Waterhouse, that does not seem to bother their daughter at all.

“She’s on FaceTime with her dad, who today was covered in blood with huge black circles around his eyes,” Waterhouse said. “She doesn’t really actually seem to notice.”

Instead of being scared or confused by the unusual look, their daughter has apparently accepted that this is simply what her dad looks like these days.

“She calls him ‘Daddy Batman’ now cause he’s always dressed up like that, for the next seven months,” Waterhouse added.

The story quickly spread online after clips from the interview were shared by fan accounts and entertainment pages, including The Batman Saga News and Culture Crave. The moment has given fans a fun glimpse at Pattinson’s life away from Gotham City and the serious world of Bruce Wayne.

Pattinson and Waterhouse have been together since 2018 and have generally kept their relationship and family life away from the spotlight. Their daughter was born in March 2024, and the couple has rarely shared personal details about raising her.

That makes Waterhouse’s story especially amusing for Batman fans. While viewers will see Pattinson looking battered and bruised as he returns to Gotham, his daughter seems to have a much simpler explanation for the whole thing: her dad is Batman.

The actor is currently filming The Batman: Part II, the follow-up to Matt Reeves’ 2022 movie. Reeves is returning as director and co-wrote the screenplay with Mattson Tomlin. Pattinson is back as Bruce Wayne and Batman, with Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis and Colin Farrell also returning.

The sequel is set after the flooding of Gotham City seen in the first movie. The story will once again follow Batman as he investigates corruption and other problems spreading through the city.

Several new actors have also joined the cast, including Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson and Charles Dance. However, much of the movie’s story remains under wraps, with Reeves keeping major plot details secret.

The Batman: Part II is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on February 18, 2028. The movie has faced several delays over the years, but filming is now underway.

Until then, fans can enjoy one of the few behind-the-scenes details that has escaped the secrecy surrounding the sequel. For Pattinson’s daughter, it sounds like the biggest mystery has already been solved.

Her dad wears the black suit, has dark circles around his eyes, and sometimes comes home covered in blood. Obviously, he’s Daddy Batman.
