Hollywood’s biggest action stars rarely do things halfway, and Sylvester Stallone’s move into television has turned into a full family affair. The legendary actor has made ‘Tulsa King‘ a showcase for his own crew, both on screen and off. This weekend, that family spirit took center stage on a New York red carpet.

‘Tulsa King’ is Stallone’s first leading role in a scripted television series, following mob capo Dwight Manfredi as he rebuilds his life in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after years in prison. Created by Taylor Sheridan, the Paramount+ drama has become a franchise anchor for the streamer. Its fourth season arrives on Friday, October 16.

Ahead of that premiere, Stallone appeared at PaleyFest New York on Saturday, October 10, accompanied by his wife, Jennifer Flavin, and their youngest daughter, Scarlet. The family attended the ‘Tulsa King’ screening and panel at The Paley Museum, one of the festival’s headline events. The evening was built around an advance screening of the season four premiere and a conversation with the cast.

Stallone chose a blue plaid double-breasted blazer over a crisp white shirt with a matching pocket square, a sharp, classic look for the occasion. Scarlet, 24, stood out in a champagne-gold satin midi slip dress with thin straps, paired with black open-toe heels. Her long blonde hair was styled in soft waves, and she wore a delicate necklace with understated makeup.

Flavin, 58, went with an elegant black-and-white outfit that balanced the family’s palette. The three posed together on the carpet, with Scarlet and her father sharing an affectionate look in one photo. The result was a polished family portrait that fit the festival’s glamorous mood.

The Stallones have been involved with the show since its early days. Scarlet joined ‘Tulsa King’ in season one as Spencer, first appearing as a barista and later as a horse groom, and she has continued to return. In season four, she appears alongside Garrett Hedlund, whose character Mitch shares scenes with hers.

Flavin is also credited as a co-executive producer on the series. Stallone has spoken about how much he leans on his daughters for advice, saying that Scarlet once gave him pointers about the show. He has also said that all of his daughters grew up with a very cinematic upbringing and know more about media than he does.

At the PaleyFest panel, Scarlet reportedly said that working with her father has brought them closer, helping them become friends as well as family. She has also reportedly been promoted to a series regular for season five. That news comes after the series was renewed before season four even premiered, with production on the next season beginning in New York on October 5.

That timeline makes the festival appearance a milestone for the whole family. It’s one thing to share a set, and another to be celebrated together in front of fans. For Scarlet, the promotion marks a big step in an acting career that started on her father’s show.

The panel was also part of a larger celebration. PaleyFest named ‘Tulsa King’ among the recipients of its inaugural PaleyFest Award, which was established to mark The Paley Center’s 50th anniversary. The honor places the series alongside ‘American Horror Story,’ ‘Dexter: Resurrection,’ ‘Marshals,’ ‘The Gilded Age’ and ‘The Diplomat.’

It’s a notable recognition for a show that has grown steadily since its 2022 debut. For Stallone, it’s another sign that his late-career move into television has paid off. Critics have generally praised his performance, even as some have criticized the dialogue and story arc.

The new season promises higher stakes. Stallone has teased a dangerous, psychopathic new enemy for Dwight, while corrupt politicians and a crushing personal blow test his empire. Returning cast members include Martin Starr, Jay Will, Vincent Piazza, Annabella Sciorra, Chris Caldovino, McKenna Quigley Harrington, Frank Grillo, Neal McDonough and Kevin Pollak.

Gretchen Mol joins the cast as Amanda Clark, a local Tulsa politician, and appears as a series regular. With the season premiering on October 16, fans won’t have to wait long to see how Dwight fares. If the family’s PaleyFest appearance is any indication, the Stallones are ready for the spotlight.
