‘Teen Titans Go!’ #2 Preview: Guest-Starring The Red Lanterns!

In ‘Teen Titans Go!’ #1, released earlier last month, the Titans faced a crisis when their comic book was canceled. They tried various strategies to relaunch it, like turning into robots or adopting an indie comic style.
When these efforts failed, they resorted to sabotaging other comics. This issue, written by Sholly Fisch and illustrated by Dario Brizuela, was a fun, light-hearted take on comic book publishing challenges, true to the TV series’ spirit.
Issue #2, set for release on April 2, 2025, shifts to a new adventure. Cyborg goes missing after battling Atrocitus, a Red Lantern, atop Titans Tower. Witnesses Raven, Starfire, and Beast Boy each give different accounts.
One version even has Dex-Starr, a Red Lantern cat, instead of Atrocitus, with Cyborg helping the space-kitty down from a tree. Robin must piece together the truth from these conflicting stories, promising a mix of action, mystery, and comedy.
Interestingly, this issue seems to rotate creative teams, with Issue #1 by Sholly Fisch and Dario Brizuela, and Issue #2 by Matthew Cody and Erick Owen, which might bring fresh perspectives to each issue.
Official synopsis: “GUEST-STARRING THE RED LANTERNS! Cyborg has gone missing! Three eyewitnesses saw the hero’s last moments as he battled the Red Lantern Atrocitus atop Titans Tower. But since the witnesses are Raven, Starfire, and Beast Boy, there are three versions of events–including one where it was Dex-Starr instead of Atrocitus, and Cyborg was just trying to help the angry space-kitty down from a tree! Can Robin untangle this knot of wild stories and get to the truth?”
