‘Watari-kun’s ****** Is About to Collapse’ Reveals First Trailer

We recently announced that the popular seinen manga Watari-kun’s ****** Is About to Collapse (Watari-kun no ×× ga Hōkaisunzen) would be getting an anime adaptation. A teaser image highlighting the main female character, Satsuki Tachibana, was released with more information to come at a later date.
Now, we can confirm that the new information has, indeed, arrived as the first trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation of Watari-kun’s ****** Is About to Collapse has officially arrived.
Before we continue, here is the trailer:
The trailer doesn’t reveal much, but it does give us a glimpse of the animation and the story, which is definitely interesting and it confirms the already mentioned July premiere.
As has been revealed, the series will star Shūichirō Umeda as Naoto Watari, Yumika Yano as Satsuki Tachibana, and Yurie Igoma as Yukari Ishihara. Takashi Naoya will be directing the anime while Tatsuya Takahashi will be in charge of overseeing the series scripts; Tetsuya Yamada will be writing the scripts with director Naoya. Shōko Yasuda is designing the characters and serving as a chief animation director.
In case you’re unfamiliar with the plot, here is a brief synopsis:
Naoto Watari has had his share of struggles: his parents died two years ago, and now he and his sister live at his aunt’s house. There, his desire to protect his sister earned him notoriety as “the guy with the sister complex”—which never mattered to him, as his sister always came first. But when Satsuki, a childhood friend-turned-enemy(?), becomes his school mate, Naoto’s ordinary life is thrown into chaos … and Satsuki may just be the beginning.
