One of the things that Star Wars fans are excited about is the upcoming ‘Ahsoka’ series that’s going to put Ahsoka Tano at the center of the storyline. Of course, this means that Ahsoka is set to face many strong opponents that will give her tough fights, especially now that the fate of the entire galaxy is hanging in the balance. We know she is up to the task because she has always been innately strong. So, what is Ahsoka Tano’s Midi-chlorian count?

Ahsoka Tano should have a Midi-chlorian count of around 15,000. That’s because she has proven herself to be a lot stronger than ordinary Jedi Knights and Masters that have been killed or defeated by characters that Ahsoka was able to defeat or fight on par in past battles.

But while we do know that Ahsoka is strong, one of the things that we also know is that there are characters that are a lot stronger than her or, at the very least, are still levels higher than her. That means that she is strong but isn’t exactly the strongest Jedi we’ve seen in the storyline of Star Wars. So, with that said, let’s look at Ahsoka’s Midi-chlorian count to see just how high her potential in the Force was.

Ahsoka is certainly stronger than most Jedi

Introduced during the Star Wars: The Clone Wars events, Ahsoka Tano was a promising Padawan at the tender age of 14. She started training under the guidance of Anakin Skywalker, who may not have been the best teacher but was certainly a strong Jedi with many things to teach her. In that regard, Ahsoka’s progression as a Jedi was rather quick, as she improved her lightsaber combat skills faster than most other Jedi.

We know that the skills of a Jedi are trained and taught, but the potential of the Jedi usually determines the progression. The Midi-chlorian count of a Jedi determines the potential of a Jedi because the Midi-chlorians are the organisms that allow a Jedi to commune with the Force.

So, if a Jedi has a higher Midi-chlorian count, they have a stronger connection to the Force and could become stronger faster.

So, from what we saw from Ahsoka, she became stronger quite fast during the events of the Clone Wars as she was able to fight some of the strongest opponents on par in a hurry. At the start, she struggled against the likes of General Grievous and Asajj Ventress.

However, near the end of the Clone Wars, she could hold her own against them already. That means her potential in the Force was always high due to her innately high Midi-chlorian count.

We also saw in ‘Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi’ that Ahsoka was always strong in the Force. As an infant, she was already strong enough to use the Force to communicate with a wild animal that nearly mauled her to death. However, her power in the Force allowed her to connect her mind and heart with this beast. And not a lot of infants are capable of doing that.

So, as she grew older, Ahsoka’s talents only grew. By the time she was 17 years old during the tail-end of the Clone Wars, she was already strong enough to take on Darth Maul all on her own. And we know that Maul was always strong enough to take down powerful Jedi Masters, such as Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn.

Then, during the Empire’s reign, Ahsoka could easily defeat an Inquisitor without using any weapon because she didn’t have a lightsaber then. She used her hand-to-hand training and innate power in the Force to defeat a well-trained Inquisitor specifically chosen to hunt down any Jedi surviving Order 66.

In ‘Star Wars: Rebels,’ we saw Ahsoka Tano fighting two Inquisitors all at once and was strong enough to take them on even though the duo of Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger always struggled against the Fifth Brother and the Seventh Sister. Then, on Malachor, Ahsoka did the one thing that all the Jedi struggled to do: fight Darth Vader on par.

This leads us to conclude that she was always unusually strong in the Force and innately more talented than many different Jedi. And that means that she must have a high Midi-chlorian count that may or may not be on par with the strongest Jedi and Sith we’ve seen.

But Ahsoka is weaker than the strongest Jedi and Sith

As mentioned, Ahsoka has always displayed uncanny gifts in the Force as she has always been stronger than most Jedi and Sith and was able to progress faster than her contemporaries in her lightsaber skills and powers in the Force. But we haven’t seen her doing the things that some of the strongest Jedi and Sith have been able to do.

Fighting Darth Maul on par is one thing, but defeating the likes of Darth Vader is another. Of course, Ahsoka was never strong enough to defeat her old master, even though she was more than skilled enough to give him a tough fight.

Ahsoka’s potential was still lower than Darth Vader’s own potential, even though Vader’s Midi-chlorian count was diminished by all of the injuries he suffered in his loss to Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar.

vader vs ahsoka

Speaking of Obi-Wan Kenobi, there’s a reason to believe that Ahsoka’s Midi-chlorian count is lower than his or is somewhere on par with him. That’s because Kenobi has defeated Darth Vader not once but twice.

We can say that he defeated Vader due to his knowledge of Anakin’s tendencies as a fighter and because Obi-Wan’s Form III: Soresu was a perfect foil to Vader’s Form V: Djem So. But the fact is that he was still able to defeat him in the ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ series by using a good combination of lightsaber skills and Force powers.

This leads us to believe that Ahsoka Tano has yet to reach Obi-Wan Kenobi’s level or has an innate potential lower than his. And that means that Ahsoka is certainly not on the level of the likes of Palpatine and Yoda, who have always had Midi-chlorian counts high enough to put them over the level of Darth Vader’s own power.

Ahsoka is on the upper tiers

Even though Ahsoka might not be as strong as the likes of Obi-Wan, Vader, Yoda, or Palpatine, what we know for certain is that she is still on the upper tiers of her Midi-chlorian count because she is far stronger than the regular Jedi Knight or even the strongest Jedi Masters of the old Jedi Order.

We know that the average Jedi has a Midi-chlorian count of 10,000. Ahsoka is certainly a lot stronger than the average Jedi. Meanwhile, it is safe to assume that Vader’s Midi-chlorian count was around 18,000 after his injuries weakened him. So, with that said, there’s a good reason to believe that Ahsoka is somewhere around 15,000 in terms of her Midi-chlorian count.

This would put her well above the Midi-chlorian counts of the average Jedi in the Jedi Order. But at the same time, she has a lower Midi-chlorian count compared to the truly powerful and strong Jedi and Sith in the Star Wars storyline.
