Netflix has released a new motion poster for the highly anticipated fifth and final season of Stranger Things. The streaming giant confirmed that Stranger Things 5 will premiere later this year, marking the conclusion of the popular science fiction horror series created by the Duffer Brothers.

The new season will consist of eight episodes and will be released in three parts. According to Netflix, the first four episodes will arrive on November 26. The next three episodes will follow on December 25, and the series finale will be available on December 31. The Duffer Brothers will return as producers, alongside Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen.

Many of the original cast members are returning, including Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Cara Buono, and Jamie Campbell Bower.

Amybeth McNulty, who appeared as a guest in the previous season, has been promoted to the main cast, and Linda Hamilton joins as a new cast member.

The season picks up a year after the events of Season 4, in the fall of 1987. The group is on a mission to track down and defeat Vecna after the Rifts opened in Hawkins.

Their plan becomes more complicated when the military shows up in town, targeting Eleven. As the anniversary of Will Byers’ disappearance nears, the friends face one final battle against a deadly threat.

The release of the motion poster gives fans a first look at the upcoming season and builds excitement for the finale. With the show ending in three installments, Netflix promises an intense and thrilling conclusion to one of its most popular series.

Splitting the final season into three parts is a smart move. It gives the story room to breathe and keeps fans eagerly waiting for each episode. What do you think about Stranger Things 5 being released in parts? Share your thoughts in the comments.
