Netflix has added all six episodes of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2 to its streaming library as of today. The show, created by David Zabel, is the fifth spin-off of AMC’s The Walking Dead and follows Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon in a post-apocalyptic France.

Season 2 carries the subtitle The Book of Carol and marks the return of Melissa McBride as Carol Peletier.

The series continues the story of the original The Walking Dead show, with Daryl navigating new dangers in a world overrun by the undead.

Season 2 introduces several new characters played by Clémence Poésy, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, Laïka Blanc-Francard, Anne Charrier, Romain Levi, Adam Nagaitis, Joel de la Fuente, Eduardo Noriega, Óscar Jaenada, Alexandra Masangkay, Hugo Arbués, and Candela Saitta.

Originally, the first season was intended to feature Carol Peletier from the start under the title The Walking Dead: Daryl & Carol.

However, logistical challenges with actress Melissa McBride delayed her return. The first season premiered on September 10, 2023, and consisted of six episodes. The show was quickly renewed for a second season in July 2023, with McBride returning as a series regular for the second season, which premiered on September 29, 2024.

The series has already been renewed for a third season, which premiered on September 7, and a fourth and final season is scheduled to follow.

Fans of the franchise can now catch up on Daryl’s journey through France, including his reunion with Carol, as Netflix makes the episodes widely accessible. The show combines horror, drama, and survival elements while continuing the legacy of the larger Walking Dead universe.
