The upcoming Reacher spin-off centered on the character Neagley is starting to generate more attention as new behind-the-scenes material has surfaced. The update comes from a post shared by actress Maria Sten on Instagram.

The new series, titled “Neagley,” focuses on Sten’s character, who was first introduced as a close ally of Jack Reacher and a former member of the 110th Special Investigations Unit. In the spin-off, she takes on a leading role in her own investigation after the suspicious death of a friend leads her into a wider conspiracy. The story is expected to mix investigation, action, and personal stakes.

In the Instagram post, Sten shared a behind-the-scenes video showing a stunt sequence being filmed. The clip appears to show a character being lifted into the air using wires in front of a blue screen setup, suggesting a high-action moment involving falling or aerial danger. While Sten did not confirm full details, the video strongly points to large-scale stunt work being part of the series.

She also teased that more updates will be coming soon and suggested that the show will push the limits of what fans expect from the Reacher universe. According to her post, the production is aiming for bigger action sequences while still keeping the grounded style that the franchise is known for.

The spin-off does not yet have an official release date, but it is expected to arrive in 2026. Production reportedly took place between February and June 2025, meaning the footage shared online likely comes from that filming period. The series is being developed as part of a growing shared universe connected to Reacher.

Alan Ritchson is also expected to return as Jack Reacher in a guest role, linking the spin-off back to the main series. However, the focus will remain on Neagley as the central character and lead investigator.

The supporting cast includes Greyston Holt, Jasper Jones, Adeline Rudolph, Matthew Del Negro, and Damon Herriman. Each will play roles that expand the story beyond a single case, introducing both allies and possible enemies as the conspiracy develops. The series is expected to balance character-driven storytelling with action-heavy sequences.

The main Reacher show continues to grow alongside the spin-off, with Season 4 already completed and Season 5 confirmed. This suggests the franchise is becoming a larger action universe with multiple connected stories rather than a single ongoing series.

Early reactions to the Neagley updates have been positive, especially among fans of the original show who enjoyed her character’s intelligence and calm, tactical approach. Her role in the main series already showed her as a strong field operative, and the spin-off will now give her space to lead her own story.

With filming already finished and post-production likely underway, more official updates are expected in the coming months. The recent behind-the-scenes clip is one of the first clear looks at how the show is shaping up, and it suggests a high-energy direction for the upcoming series.
