Jodie Comer has never been shy about using fashion as a form of storytelling. Whether she is on a red carpet or in a front-row seat, the actress tends to arrive with a look that gets people talking. Her latest Jodie Comer Givenchy appearance is a perfect example, and it has her name circulating all over again.

The moment arrived during Paris Fashion Week, a stretch of the calendar when stars compete for attention with every outfit. Comer, though, seems to have mastered the art of standing out without trying too hard.

The new photos show Comer in a vivid red Givenchy halter top with a high, softly draped neckline and a deep open back that ties at the waist. A long asymmetric panel falls from the waist, and the fabric gathers through the torso for a sculpted effect. In the image, her hair is swept into a tousled ponytail, with loose strands framing her face.

She paired the top with slim black trousers that have a pressed front line and finished the outfit with black square-toe heeled mules. Her makeup stayed understated with rose-toned shades, letting the color of the top do the talking. The result is a look that feels polished, a little dramatic and unmistakably confident.

Comer wore the outfit to Givenchy’s Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear show on Oct. 2, during Paris Fashion Week. The shows ran from Sept. 28 to Oct. 6, and her appearance came early in the week. She sat front row alongside Janelle Monae and Anson Boon.

Other guests at the presentation included Eddie Redmayne, Hannah Bagshawe, Marisa Berenson and Yoon Jeonghan. It was not Comer’s first time at the house, either, since she also attended the previous spring show in October of last year. Fashion watchers have noted her growing relationship with Givenchy creative director Sarah Burton, whom she has named among her favorite designers in a WWD profile.

The halter neckline has become something of a signature for Comer. She previously wore a silver halter gown to the London premiere of ’28 Years Later’, which gave the style a glamorous spotlight. The scarlet Givenchy top feels like a more modern, edgier take on that same silhouette.

She has also been busy with magazine work this year, appearing in WWD Weekend in May and in Harper’s Bazaar UK and Porter in June. Together with her front-row appearances, those editorials show an actress leaning further into the fashion world. In that WWD profile, she also said she would like to get more involved in fashion.

On screen, Comer has had a strong year. She appears in the A24 film ‘The Death of Robin Hood’, in which she plays Sister Brigid opposite Hugh Jackman as Robin Hood and Bill Skarsgard as Little John. The film premiered in New York in June, arrived in US theaters on June 19 and reached digital and VOD on July 28.

She also stars in ‘Stuffed’, a musical body horror romance from writer-director Theo Rhys, who is making his feature debut by expanding an award-winning short that won at SXSW in 2021. Comer plays Araminta opposite Harry Melling’s Bernie, in a story about a man who volunteers his body to a taxidermist after his death, and the two fall in love. The film opened the Discovery program at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, where Comer wore Fendi Couture.

What makes the Givenchy moment work is its restraint paired with a bold color. A single saturated shade, clean tailoring below and a simple hairstyle allowed the outfit to read as sophisticated rather than loud. The open back adds the daring touch without overwhelming the overall silhouette.

It also fits the pattern of an actress who has become a regular at major fashion events. With a string of high-profile films behind her and a growing interest in fashion, Comer looks like a star who is comfortable on both the screen and the runway circuit.
