‘Dune’ Star Anya Taylor-Joy Turns Dior’s Paris Atelier Into a Gingerbread Dream for the Holiday Campaign
The countdown to Christmas is already underway in the luxury world, and the Anya Taylor-Joy Dior holiday campaign is one of the first big festive reveals of the season. Fashion houses tend to save their most whimsical ideas for the end of the year, and this one leans fully into storybook fantasy.
Taylor-Joy has been part of the Dior family for years. The French house named her a global brand ambassador in October 2021, after her breakout in ‘The Queen’s Gambit,’ which earned her a Golden Globe, a Critics’ Choice Award and a SAG Award. Since then, she has fronted campaigns, worn custom looks on red carpets and attended the house’s shows, including the Spring-Summer 2026 presentation, where she arrived in a cape for Jonathan Anderson’s Dior.

Her work with the beauty side of the brand has been just as steady. She appeared in the Dior Addict campaign alongside Jisoo and Willow Smith, directed by TORSO and shot by Drew Vickers, with Taylor-Joy fronting the Peachy Glow fragrance. That campaign leaned into a candy-pink, patisserie-inspired world, and the new holiday imagery moves from pink sweets to golden gingerbread.
The latest campaign is called ‘The Sweet Atelier of Dreams,’ and it stars House ambassadors Anya Taylor-Joy and Deva Cassel. The new images show Taylor-Joy in a strapless white dress with her long platinum hair flowing, leaning against stacks of gingerbread gift boxes stamped with the Dior logo. In one shot, she raises a finger to her lips in a playful “shh” gesture as if guarding a holiday secret.

Dior transformed its legendary Paris address, 30 Montaigne, into an elaborate gingerbread house for the shoot. The campaign brings together music, dance and confectionery-inspired fantasy, using the historic architecture as part of the storytelling. The warm golden-brown palette, ornate cookie-style wall panels and frosting-like details make the set feel like a life-size holiday treat.

It’s a clever use of the house’s heritage. Rather than building a fictional set, Dior reimagines its real home as a festive wonderland, connecting the nostalgia of the season with the brand’s Parisian roots. That approach gives the campaign a storybook quality that suits the ambassadors.

According to coverage of the launch, Taylor-Joy’s makeup look is called Cinnamon Glaze, inspired by the seasonal treat. It features bronzed eyes and a brown-mauve lip that highlight her cheekbones. Cassel, also in a white strapless gown with contrasting black heels, exchanges gifts with her in front of a twinkling gingerbread Christmas tree.
The campaign showcases some of Dior’s best-known beauty creations, including the Miss Dior, J’adore and Sauvage fragrances, as well as Prestige skincare and a selection of shimmering makeup. Fairy-light snowflakes and holiday gift boxes appear throughout the imagery. For Dior, it’s a chance to put its gift-ready products in a dreamy setting.
This isn’t the first time Taylor-Joy has fronted a holiday campaign. She starred in Tiffany & Co.’s ‘With love, Since 1837’ holiday campaign in 2024, exploring New York City in a little black dress and the brand’s iconic jewelry. She then returned as the face of Tiffany’s ‘Love Is a Gift’ campaign in 2025, which centered on exchanged Blue Boxes.
Her holiday work pairs well with her screen career, which has included ‘The Witch,’ ‘The Menu’ and ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.’ Dior’s choice to bring her back to the Atelier of Dreams shows how closely the house sees her as a face of its seasonal storytelling. The gingerbread concept also fits her ability to lean into fantasy, something she has done on screen for years.
Holiday campaigns often rely on glitter and snow, but this one commits to a single unified idea. The gingerbread theme turns an entire Parisian landmark into a confection, which gives the images a cohesive look. It also gives Dior an easy hook for social media, since fans can instantly recognize the golden boxes and ornate frosting details.
Fans of Taylor-Joy will likely enjoy seeing her in a lighter, more playful mood than some of her darker screen roles. With the festive season only getting started, this campaign may just be the first of many holiday reveals. For now, Dior has the sweetest head start.
