First Look at Rebecca Ferguson in Netflix’s ‘A House of Dynamite’ Revealed

A new political thriller movie called A House of Dynamite is coming soon. The film is directed by Kathryn Bigelow, who is known for powerful movies, and it’s her first feature since Detroit back in 2017.

The script was written by Noah Oppenheim. The story follows a group of White House officials who have to quickly handle a dangerous missile attack coming toward the U.S.

The movie stars Idris Elba, Rebecca Ferguson, Gabriel Basso, Jared Harris, and many others. Some new faces like Moses Ingram, Anthony Ramos, and Greta Lee are also part of the cast. Rebecca Ferguson’s first look in the movie on Netflix was recently revealed, giving fans a sneak peek of what to expect.

Through La Biennale di Venezia’s post on X, fans got their first look at Rebecca Ferguson in A House of Dynamite. The picture shows her as Olivia Walker, who appears to be a government agent. She’s seen in a busy command center, urgently giving orders while maps and data flash on screens behind her.

This film is set to have its world premiere at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on September 2. It is in the main competition and has even been nominated for the Golden Lion, which is a big deal at the festival.

After Venice, the movie will get a limited release in theaters across the U.S. in October. Then, it will be available to stream worldwide on Netflix starting October 24.

The casting came together throughout 2024, starting in May when Kathryn Bigelow was announced as the director. Idris Elba and Rebecca Ferguson joined the cast in June, followed by other actors like Tracy Letts and Moses Ingram later that summer. The filming started in October 2024 in Trenton, New Jersey, and by December, the film was already in post-production.
