[Trailer] Keira Knightley Stars in Netflix Thriller ‘The Woman in Cabin 10’ – Woman Overboard Mystery Unfolds
Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming psychological thriller, The Woman in Cabin 10, starring Keira Knightley.
The film is based on Ruth Ware’s 2016 novel of the same name and is directed by Simon Stone, with a screenplay by Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse.
The story follows a journalist, played by Knightley, who is covering the maiden voyage of a luxury cruise ship. She becomes convinced that she has witnessed a passenger being thrown overboard, even though all guests and crew appear to be accounted for. The suspense builds as she tries to uncover the truth, questioning her own perception along the way.

Alongside Knightley, the cast includes Guy Pearce, David Ajala, Art Malik, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Kaya Scodelario, David Morrissey, Daniel Ings, and Hannah Waddingham, among others. Principal photography took place in September 2024 on the Isle of Portland in Dorset, England, and aboard the superyacht Savannah, according to production reports.
Netflix acquired the rights to the film in May 2024, taking over development from CBS and the Gotham Group. The streamer officially announced Simon Stone as director and Keira Knightley as the lead. In the months following, additional cast members were added, including Pearce, Waddingham, Scodelario, and Mbatha-Raw.
This thriller looks set to be a gripping ride for audiences who enjoy suspenseful mysteries, and Knightley’s performance is already generating buzz from fans and critics alike.
