‘Baywatch’ Filming at Venice Beach as Noah Beck, Thaddeus LaGrone & Shay Mitchell Step Out in Iconic Red Swimsuits
Filming for the upcoming reboot of Baywatch is in full swing at Venice Beach, and new behind-the-scenes sightings are giving fans a closer look at the cast in action. According to production reports and set coverage, several cast members were seen filming scenes outside the lifeguard headquarters in California.
Among those spotted were Noah Beck, Thaddeus LaGrone, and Shay Mitchell. They were seen leaving the lifeguard station while cameras captured the moment from inside the building, showing the actors in character during a busy shoot day.
Other cast members were also present on set, including Jessica Belkin, Ashley Moore, and Luke Eisner, who plays the best friend of Noah Beck’s character in the series. The mix of returning and new faces is part of the updated ensemble for the reboot.
Just days earlier, Noah Beck was filmed in a water rescue scene where his character saves someone played by Eric Roberts. The scene highlighted the show’s focus on lifeguard action and ocean-based drama, a key part of the original series’ identity.
The new version of Baywatch is being developed by Fox after receiving an official series order for the 2026–2027 TV season. The reboot is produced by Fremantle and Fox Entertainment, with Lara Olsen serving as showrunner.
Casting for the series has been rolled out over time, with additional names joining in recent months. Stephen Amell is set to play an adult version of Hobie Buchannon, now the captain of the lifeguard team. David Chokachi is also returning as Cody Madison from the original series.
Other cast members include Hassie Harrison, Brooks Nader, and athletic influencer Livvy Dunne in a recurring role. Erika Eleniak will also return to reprise her role as Shauni McClain.
The reboot has also been supported by California’s Film & Television Tax Credit Program, which helped secure production in the state.
The mix of new influencers, returning characters, and classic Baywatch style could either bring fresh energy or feel like a nostalgia move, depending on execution. It will be interesting to see how the show balances both. What do you think about this reboot cast and direction? Share your thoughts in the comments.
