Élodie Yung Comments on Her Return as Elektra: “Ask Mr. Marvel”

Elodie Yung Comments on Her Return as Elektra Ask Mr. Marvel

For most of the older audiences, Jennifer Garner is the only live-action Elektra that they are emotionally tied to, no matter how bad her standalone movie was. But back when Netflix was making shows based on Marvel characters, Elodie Yung embodied the young assassin and Daredevil’s love interest and fans took quite a liking to her.

Now it’s been confirmed that Garner will reprise her role as Elektra in the upcoming ‘Daredevil & Wolverine,’ and since ‘Echo’ has canonized a good portion of the ‘Defenders’ saga plenty of fans have been hoping that Elodie Yung will make a return as Elektra in the MCU. In fact, Yung admitted as much herself, that she gets asked constantly about the role in her interview with toofab.

Oh my god, I would love that! My fans are like “Can you come back?” I’m like, ask Mr. Marvel. You have to ask Mr. Marvel… I would gladly replay this part, are you kidding? She’s so much fun!

Yung was also asked who she thought would come out on top in a fight between her and Garner’s Elektra:

What’s that mean come out on top? I had something else in mind. I mean she has skills that I probably don’t have and currently I’m not really fit and trained and you know if she’s replayed the part already she probably went to through training sesions so she probably would. But I love her and that would be so much fun two Elektras

I gotta admit this sounds like something that is brewing to happen in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ in the context of various variants that are about to appear in the movie. Even if Yung does not reprise her role as Elektra, she will certainly be busy.

Élodie Yung started her acting career on television when she was 20 years old. She gained attention with her role as Tsu in the 2004 film ‘Les fils du vent’ and later played Tao in ‘District 13: Ultimatum.’ Yung also appeared in the successful TV series ‘Les Bleus’ for three seasons. She had notable roles in films like ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ (2011), ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ (2013), and ‘Gods of Egypt’ (2016), where she played Hathor. Yung starred alongside Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson in ‘The Hitman’s Bodyguard’ (2016). Her recent projects include the Disney+ film ‘Secret Society of Second-Born Royals’ (2020) and the Fox crime drama series ‘The Cleaning Lady’ (2022).
