‘Fantastic Four Fanfare’ #1 Preview: The Human Torch Is About To Make Reality TV Dating Debut

A new comic book featuring the Fantastic Four is set to hit shelves in May 2025 – just in time to hype us for ‘The First Steps’ (if any additional hype is needed). The special issue, called Fantastic Four Fanfare (2025) #1, will include three unique stories about Marvel’s famous family of heroes. Each tale highlights different adventures and challenges for the team.

In one story, Johnny Storm, also known as the Human Torch, joins a reality TV dating show called Isle of Love. He hopes to become a star on the screen. But his plans go off track when a creature from underground, one of Mole Man’s Moloids, crashes the show. This tale is brought to life by writer Andrew Wheeler and artist Sara Pichelli.

Another adventure takes the Fantastic Four deep below the Earth’s surface. The team explores caves and faces dangerous natural threats. When trouble strikes, the Human Torch steps up to save the day with his fiery powers. Alan Davis writes and draws this underground mission.

The third story focuses on a playful rivalry between Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm, the Thing. The Human Torch pulls from his collection of prank ideas to tease his rocky teammate. What starts as fun soon turns into a full-blown prank war that keeps escalating. This lighthearted clash is written by Mark Waid with art by Ramon Rosanas.

Official synopsis says: MARVEL’S FIRST FAMILY! In this special, full-color anthology series, each issue focuses on a particular member of the team! For this inaugural outing, Mark Waid and Ramon Rosanas depict an escalating prank war between the Human Torch and the Thing; Alan Davis sends the team into hazards deep underground; and Andrew Wheeler and Sara Pichelli reveal what happens when the Mole Man interrupts Johnny Storm’s star-making turn on reality television!

Fans will get to see the whole Fantastic Four family reacting to Johnny’s TV antics. The comic promises a mix of action, humor, and classic team moments. It goes on sale May 7, 2025, offering readers a fresh look at these iconic characters through varied storytelling.
