First Look at Tim Blake Nelson as the Leader in ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Revealed

In the sea of upcoming MCU projects ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ certainly stands out due to its seemingly difficult and troubled production. The movie was supposed to be released in 2024, but due to a combination of the SAG-AFTRA strike and necessary extensive reshoots, it’s been delayed for more than a year.

Little is known about the plot of the movie, except for the brief synopsis that was released some time ago. Serpent Society & King Cobra were supposed to be minor villains in the movie but according to the recent rumors, they have been removed from the movie completely.

Now Serpent Society might be gone, but one confirmed character will reprise his role from ‘The Incredible Hulk.’ We’re talking about Tim Blake Nelson’s The Leader. Notable scooper and leaker CanWeGetSomeToast revealed the first look at Nelson’s The Leader in the upcoming movie.

Doctor Samuel Sterns, a cellular biologist and professor at Grayburn College, was working on finding a cure for Bruce Banner’s condition. He successfully developed a temporary antidote for Banner, but also inadvertently transformed Emil Blonsky into the Abomination. When Sterns was exposed to Banner’s blood, his mental abilities rapidly increased due to a mutation. Natasha Romanoff intervened and subdued him, delivering him to S.H.I.E.L.D. for custody.

Now the presence of The Leader certainly implies that the Hulk will also be in the movie, in a recent interview Ruffalo revealed that he does have a role in ‘Captain America: New World Order’ only to deny this only a few hours later.
