Insider Reports Reveal the Reason Tom Holland Was Missing from ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Cast Reveal!

Yesterday, some massive news dropped regarding the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. During a 5-hour stream, Marvel Studios revealed 27 names that will appear in the highly anticipated crossover movie.
Some names, like Vanessa Kirby, Pedro Pascal, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn, were expected, especially considering Fantastic Four history with Doctor Doom. Other names were more surprising, with nearly the entire Thunderbolts* cast, excluding Taskmaster, set to have a role in the film. Additionally, Lewis Pullman’s Sentry was confirmed to appear.
However, the biggest shock came when former X-Men stars like Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart were revealed to be reprising their iconic roles, alongside James Marsden, Rebecca Romijn, and Alan Cumming.
Despite the extensive list, fans couldn’t help but notice the absence of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.
Now, industry insider Jeff Sneider claims he knows the reason why. According to Sneider, Spider-Man 4 will take place during the events of Avengers: Doomsday, which is why Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will not appear in the movie. Since Spider-Man 4 is set during the same time as Avengers: Doomsday, it explains why Spider-Man isn’t part of the cast.
Sneider also added that The Chameleon is expected to be the main villain in Spider-Man 4.
While what Sneider is saying seems very possible, it’s important to note that the list of names we received may not be complete. In fact, after the stream, Marvel Studios’ official Instagram account mentioned, “there’s always room for more,” suggesting that more names could be added to the already impressive list.
