M.O.D.O.K. vs. MCU’s Heroes: Which Avenger Can Beat Him?
Mental Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Killing, better known as M.O.D.O.K., is one of the most feared villains in the Marvel Universe. With his great intellect and a vast array of psionic powers, M.O.D.O.K. has posed a threat to many of Marvel’s finest characters. Over the course of his existence as a character, M.O.D.O.K. has been adapted to numerous forms of media, and with the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, M.O.D.O.K. is debuting in the MCU, and we’ll get to see him square off against some of the most powerful characters in the universe.
But who would come out on top in a face-off against artificial M.O.D.O.K.? In this article, we will examine M.O.D.O.K.’s powers and abilities and see how he measures up against some of the MCU’s strongest heroes.
M.O.D.O.K. vs. Iron Man
Due to Iron Man’s sacrifice in the Avengers: Endgame, this is likely the one fight we won’t see, but it’s the most fascinating one. Both M.O.D.O.K. and Iron Man rely on powerful technology when it comes to powers and abilities. The question here is, whose power suit is better? We’ve seen some sick Iron Man’s feats in the MCU, and we know that Tony’s suits are capable of tanking incredible damage as well as shelling out powerful blasts.
With everything taken into account, M.O.D.O.K. is way smarter than Iron Man, but Iron Man is a better combatant, much more in-tune with his technology. Iron Man’s suit would likely tank everything that M.O.D.O.K. can throw at him and figure out a way to abuse the weaknesses in his technology to take him down.
M.O.D.O.K. vs. Captain Marvel
Captain Marvel is known as the MCU powerhouse. She can shell out some serious cosmic damage while tanking damage that would be able to annihilate most other heroes, including most of the Avengers. She is capable of incredible speed and has deadly combat skills.
Once again, M.O.D.O.K. really only has his intelligence going for him. His weapons are destructive, yes, but Captain Marvel held a tesseract without getting harmed. She was powerful enough to offer some resistance to Thanos. M.O.D.O.K. can’t measure up against Captain Marvel.
M.O.D.O.K. vs. Spider-Man
Spider-Man faced and bested many powerful villains in the past and clashed with M.O.D.O.K. in the animated series before. But based on their respective skill sets, this is one fight that Spider-Man can’t win. M.O.D.O.K. has too many destructive abilities at his disposal, and well, Spider-Man is a moving target at best for him. There’s really nothing that Spidey has at his disposal that comes even close to damaging M.O.D.O.K.’s armor.
M.O.D.O.K. vs. Scarlet Witch
Scarlet Witch is among the strongest Avengers that much is clear, and even though her fate in the MCU remains uncertain, we’ve seen her getting a significant power boost in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, both in terms of her durability and combat proves and in terms of her potential energy projection. M.O.D.O.K. is terrifyingly durable and destructive, but Scarlet Witch brings destruction and reality-warping to another level. She would definitely win in a fight against M.O.D.O.K.
M.O.D.O.K. vs. Dr. Strange
Dr. Strange relies primarily on his mastery of mysticism, while M.O.D.O.K. relies on technology. Dr. Strange is by no means a weak character, but his lack of durability might make him weaker in this standoff. M.O.D.O.K. can be highly destructive at times, and he is extremely intelligent and able to predict the moves of his enemies. With enough preparation, I have no doubt that M.O.D.O.K.’s tech can tank everything that Dr. Strange can throw at him and more, while Strange himself has nothing to counter him.
M.O.D.O.K. vs. She-Hulk
She-Hulk has nothing in the department of energy projection, but in terms of raw strength, like her cousin Hulk, she is a true powerhouse. Gifted with incredible endurance, agility, speed, and strength. This fight would ultimately come down to who can wear the other one out first. Jennifer Walters is easily strong enough to at least deal enough damage to M.O.D.O.K. to the point that he needs to repair himself, while he has nothing to damage her incredibly enhanced physiology.
M.O.D.O.K. vs. Hulk
This fight would play out much like the one with She-Hulk would. Jade Giant is known for tanking incredible degrees of damage in the MCU. He can soak up projectiles, debris, explosions, beams, and blasts. He is almost invulnerable in terms of his durability. He is likewise strong enough to crush M.O.D.O.K. like a can. This is not a match-up that M.O.D.O.K. can win. Hulk ultimately wears him out to a point where his gear is useless.
M.O.D.O.K. vs. Captain America
Captain America will not be returning to the MCU. Still, if we’re doing an overview of the greatest MCU heroes of all time against M.O.D.O.K., we can’t skip the Man Out of Time. Captain America was born without superpowers, he was enhanced with Super Solider serum, and although he is able to tank more damage than an average human, he is stronger than an average human, faster, and able to react faster. He can’t match up to M.O.D.O.K.’s enhancements.
M.O.D.O.K. vs. Black Panther
If it comes to a fight between M.O.D.O.K. and Black Panther in the MCU, the version he would likely be facing is Shuri. Shuri is no stranger to a powerful tech, and she really does know how to utilize it, but in terms of her Black Panther powers, she is not strong enough to deal with M.O.D.O.K. on her own. Besides, she is much less experienced than M.O.D.O.K.
M.O.D.O.K. vs. Thor
Last but not least, we have M.O.D.O.K. facing the God of Thunder. What can we say about this match-up except that it ends quickly, in Thor’s favor? Thor is indestructible, capable of lifting chunks of planets, speed-of-light fast, and able to summon lighting. Plus, he has access to some of the most badass and powerful weapons in the Marvel Universe. M.O.D.O.K. losses this one fair and square.
And that would be all. To sum everything up, M.O.D.O.K. losses against Thor, Hulk, She-Hulk, Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel, and Iron Man. But due to his durability and destructive nature, he has the upper hand when it comes to Black Panther, Captain America, Dr. Strange, and Spider-Man.
