Excitement around Avengers: Doomsday keeps building as Marvel’s next big team-up film moves closer to release, and every new update tied to the movie is getting strong attention online.

According to reports from the Big Slick Kansas City charity event, actor Paul Rudd helped turn that hype into a major fundraising moment by auctioning off two tickets to the film’s world premiere.

The auction took place during Big Slick Kansas City, a long-running charity event that raises money for Children’s Mercy Kansas City. The winning bid reached $100,000, with all proceeds going to the hospital. The event is known for bringing together celebrities from Kansas City, including Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, Rob Riggle, Eric Stonestreet, and Heidi Gardner, and this year marked its 17th edition.

During the live auction, Rudd offered what he jokingly described as a special experience tied to the upcoming Marvel film. He invited the winning bidder to attend the Avengers: Doomsday world premiere in Los Angeles alongside him, along with access to the after-party and opportunities to meet cast and crew.

“I did this little independent film. Its title: Avengers: Doomsday. It’s going to come out just before Christmas, and I don’t know, I think it would be really cool if two people came with me to Los Angeles, right before the holiday season really kicks in, to go to the premiere with me,” Rudd said during the event.

He added more details about what the experience would include, making it clear the winners would be part of a very rare Hollywood night. “This will include the after-party, too. I will introduce you to every single person I see. We will try to take selfies as much as possible. Some of them I know. Some of them will speak to me. So we can even wrangle a pre-Christmas card maybe,” he said.

According to the auction results shared at the event, the final bid landed at $100,000, which will go directly to Children’s Mercy Hospital. The moment quickly became one of the highlights of the night, blending Marvel excitement with a strong charitable cause.

Beyond the fundraising moment, attention around Rudd is also growing because of his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Scott Lang, also known as Ant-Man. Rudd first joined Marvel in 2015 with Ant-Man and later appeared in Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Endgame, and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. His character has become a steady part of the franchise’s core group of heroes.

With Avengers: Doomsday set to continue the next phase of Marvel storytelling, Rudd’s involvement both on-screen and off-screen is keeping fans engaged. The charity auction added another layer of attention to the film, showing how major blockbuster releases are increasingly tied to real-world events that bring fans and celebrities together for a cause.
