When you think about Marvel superheroes and powerful characters in Marvel comics in general, you hardly think about Rocket Raccoon and Deadpool. Despite this, both of them are blessed with superhuman characteristics. Both Rocket Raccoon and Deadpool owe their popularity to the movies, and both have infectious and sassy personalities that appeal to the fans greatly. Due to their popularity and general lack of discussion regarding their skills, we’ve decided to pit these two mercenaries against one another in a hypothetical fight to see who would come out on top. When it comes to a battle between Rocket Raccoon and Deadpool, who is stronger, and who would win?

Deadpool is stronger than Rocket Raccoon and would easily win in a fight against him. Deadpool is physically stronger, faster, and a better combatant between the two of them. Deadpool also has one of the strongest and most rapid healing factors in the Marvel Universe, which makes eliminating him extremely difficult. Rocket Raccoon has nothing to deal with this, which means that he would ultimately lose, no matter his fighting skills.

Now that we’ve covered that there is no chance in hell that Rocket walks away from this fight victorious, it’s time to analyze exactly why. If you’re interested in both characters’ powers, abilities, speed, strength, and durability, stay with us and keep reading!

Powers and abilities

Deadpool is a mutate whose powers stem from his experimentation in the Weapons X program. He was imbued with a portion of Wolverine’s healing factor which resulted in his special “condition.” Still, besides this, Deadpool doesn’t have any energy projection powers or anything supernatural that could be considered “extra,” so in this category, there is nothing to rate.

Similarly, Rocket Raccoon was experimented upon, which resulted in him developing incredible intelligence and many other physical upgrades. Honestly, the fact alone that he can talk is enough for Rocket to get the point here. But, still, like Deadpool, Rocket can’t project energy, can’t summon elements, and can’t use psionics. He has above-average senses that can be attributed to his Raccoon physiology, and that is pretty much it.

Due to a lack of superhuman or supernatural abilities, neither gets the point here.

Points: Rocket Raccoon (0:0) Deadpool

Strength and Stamina

When it comes to Deadpool’s strength, there are different sources when it comes to how much he can lift, but generally, he has superhuman strength and can lift anywhere between 800 pounds and 2 tons. In terms of stamina, thanks to his advanced physiology Deadpool has among the highest stamina reserves in the Marvel Universe. His physiology produces fewer fatigue toxins, and his body gets rid of them efficiently, which means that he can exert himself at peak capacity for several days before he starts to feel tired and cannot continue fighting.

Rocket Raccoon, despite his small size, is able to lift far more than an average raccoon. He is capable of lifting an entire average human without effort. This is due to his enhancements which provide him with physical properties unavailable to other similar creatures of his height. Rocket’s stamina reserves, however, are unknown, but considering that he is a trained fighter, it’s possible that those are enhanced as well when taking into account both humans and raccoons.

It’s amazing how much Rocket can lift; still, Deadpool overpowers him easily. The point goes to Deadpool.

Points: Rocket Raccoon (0:1) Deadpool

Speed

Deadpool is not known for having superhuman speed of any type, but this is only when it comes to running. In terms of reflexes and agility, it’s safe to say he is superhuman. Deadpool has increased agility, flexibility, dexterity, balance, and other senses associated with movement in general. This is what makes him an extremely adaptable and capable fighter. His reflexes are known to be better than those of the finest human athletes. Deadpool might not be fast while running, but he can dodge, evade and strike as the best of them.

Deadpool acrobatics

Rocket, on the other hand, has a cybernetic skeleton that provides him with speed even when he is moving on two feet like a human would. He doesn’t have superhuman running speeds, but like Deadpool, he has somewhat better reflexes and reaction times, and due to his raccoon physiology, he is extremely agile. Despite being an animal, his reaction times and reflexes allow him to successfully pilot ships and navigate intense situations.

Both Deadpool and Rocket are fast, but Deadpool seems to be faster. The point goes to him.

Points: Rocket Raccoon (0:2) Deadpool

Durability

The essence of Deadpool’s might lies in his regenerative healing factor derived from Wolverine’s own healing factor. Deadpool’s body can recover even from the most severe damage. He is highly resistant to poisons, drugs, viruses bacteria. He is resistant to telepathy, possession, and various other calamities and threats that are physical in nature.

Deadpool healing factor

Deadpool is functionally immortal, as his healing factor slows down his aging and repairs any cell damage as soon as it happens. He is capable of regenerating entire body parts. He can survive beheading. As long as there is a cell of him left, he will be able to regenerate. When it comes to durability, Deadpool is among the hardest Marvel characters to kill.

Rocket Raccoon is likewise durable. Due to his enhancements and implants, he can survive damage that would otherwise kill an animal of his size or even a human. Still, hardly any healing factor and durability can measure up against Deadpool, and he would likely take the point in this category against most other Marvel characters, save against cosmic beings.

Intelligence

Deadpool has average intelligence at best. He is a capable fighter and a mercenary, but he was never known to be among the smartest characters in the comics. Even if he does have above-average intelligence, he rarely demonstrates it due to his general insanity.

Despite being a raccoon, Rocket demonstrated extreme intelligence, which was a result of experiments done on him. He is a capable pilot and a master strategist. Even Peter Quill commented that Rocket has “the best tactical mind that he has ever seen.”

It doesn’t take much to upscale Deadpool in terms of intelligence. Still Rocket would win this point against numerous other characters in the Marvel universe since he utilizes his smarts often.

Combat Skills

Before he became Deadpool, Wade Wilson was a mercenary. He was a highly trained fighter and an assassin highly skilled in several forms of both unarmed and armed combat. According to the official classification, Deadpool is considered to be a master of several forms of combat, and he is legendary due to his katanas which seem to be his weapons of choice.

Deadpool combat skills

Rocket can throw a punch. You would be surprised. He is also a skilled fighter, but he is also limited by his physiology; due to this, he can’t really compare with Deadpool.

Rocket Raccoon vs. Deadpool: Who is more powerful, and who wins?

Deadpool is more powerful than Rocket Raccoon in every physical aspect, and he is a better and more experienced fighter. Rocket might stand a chance if he utilizes his tactical genius and intelligence, but as you can see, it wouldn’t be a close fight; Deadpool would demolish him.
