Scarlet Witch Rumored To Be the Main Villain in the Upcoming MCU Project

One of the most interesting upcoming MCU projects is certainly ‘Marvel Zombies.’ Not much is known regarding the plot of the series except for the fact that it won’t be a direct adaptation of the famous comic storyline, but we can assume that it’s going to have plenty of gore and action sequences.

‘Marvel Zombies’ is the first spinoff of the ‘What If…?’ animated TV Show and it continues the universe established in the episode titled ‘What If… Zombies!?’

According to popular leaker and scooper CanWeGetSomeToast fans can expect Scarlet Witch not only to make an appearance in the show but to serve as the main villain as well. Zombie Scarlet Witch was already featured in the finale of ‘What If..?’ Season 2 when she was one of the enemies that Captain Carter and Kahhori needed to defeat in order to get to demonic Doctor Strange. The upcoming animated show is bound to give more depth to that character and expand on her story, as well as how she ended up trapped by Doctor Strange in the first place.

Scarlet Witch is not the only character rumored to have a significant role in the upcoming show, fans can reportedly look forward to Moon Knight and Blade, who will assume the mantle of the new Fist of Khonshu.

Iman Vellani also confirmed her involvement, she will voice Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel set to be one of the main characters in the series.

‘Marvel Zombies’ will be released under the Marvel Spotlight banner and Brad Winderbaum, the head of animation of Marvel Studios recently explained the show’s TV-MA rating:

In terms of more mature animation, yeah, we’re making a ‘Marvel Zombies’ show right now that is pretty intense that’s for sure a TV-MA show. And again, it’s trying to honor the comics. And what was so great about the comics was it not pulling its punches. That’s certainly what we’re going for on that project also.
