‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Keeps Breaking Records Across Asia With Huge Box Office Run
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is continuing its impressive box office run across Asia, showing strong audience interest days after its opening. The latest numbers show that the Marvel movie is not slowing down, with major markets like Japan, South Korea, and China delivering strong results.
According to box office tracking reports, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has become a major success in Japan, where it recorded the biggest three-day opening weekend in local currency for a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. The film earned around $9.9 million over its first three days, with Friday bringing in $3.5 million, Saturday adding another $3.5 million, and Sunday reaching $2.9 million.
The momentum continued into Monday as well. The movie earned an estimated $1.5 million, dropping only 48.3% compared to Sunday’s performance. That helped the film reach a total of $11.4 million in Japan after four days, with 1.2 million movie tickets sold.
The strong performance in Japan shows that audiences are responding well to the latest Spider-Man adventure. Positive word of mouth appears to be helping the movie maintain its momentum instead of seeing the usual sharp drop after opening weekend.
South Korea has also become one of the strongest markets for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The movie remained at the top of the box office charts on its sixth day of release, continuing to attract large crowds.
Box office reports show that the film earned $2.9 million on Monday in South Korea, marking the biggest Monday performance for a Hollywood movie in the country since the pandemic. The result was only a 52.4% drop from its record-breaking Sunday, when it earned $6.1 million.
After just six days, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has reached $28 million in South Korea and sold 3.8 million tickets. The numbers highlight how strongly the movie has connected with local audiences.

China has also played a major role in the film’s international success. The movie earned another $10.8 million on its third Monday in the country, becoming the third-biggest Monday performance for a Hollywood movie after COVID-19. The film saw only a 53.8% decline compared to Sunday.
With that result, Spider-Man: Brand New Day reached $132.7 million in China after six days. The total has already passed the entire theatrical run of Spider-Man: Homecoming, which earned $116.3 million in China during its 2017 release.
Industry trackers also point to strong audience interest through walk-in ticket sales. According to the latest box office data, 82.4% of Sunday tickets were purchased on the same day, while only 17.6% came from advance sales. This suggests many viewers decided to see the movie after hearing positive reactions from other fans.
The film is also maintaining strong demand for future screenings. Reports show Spider-Man: Brand New Day had around $1.5 million in advance ticket sales for Tuesday, with more than 141,000 screenings planned.
The latest numbers show that Spider-Man: Brand New Day is becoming one of Marvel’s biggest recent international performers. With strong audience reactions and steady daily earnings, the film continues to swing higher at the global box office.
