Jurassic Park (franchise)
Jurassic Park is a science fiction franchise created by Michael Crichton, focused on the idea of cloning dinosaurs for a theme park that goes wrong. It began as a novel and became a major hit after Steven Spielberg’s 1993 film adaptation, which launched the series into global popularity.
The franchise expanded with sequels like The Lost World and Jurassic Park III, and later evolved into a new trilogy starting with Jurassic World in 2015. This newer series continued with Fallen Kingdom and Dominion, followed by Jurassic World Rebirth in 2025, which was made without Colin Trevorrow.
Over the years, the franchise has grown beyond films into video games, animated series, comics, and theme park attractions. It is one of the highest-grossing franchises in history, earning over $6 billion worldwide and remaining one of the most recognizable movie series ever created.
