‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is the hottest upcoming MCU release, for a few good reasons. The movie is rumored to include numerous cameos & variants, it’s Deadpool’s first foray into the MCU, and it’s the movie that managed to pull Hugh Jackman out of his Wolverine retirement. It’s also rumored to lead into ‘Secret Wars’ but we’re going to take this with a grain of salt.

Among those mentioned cameos & variants, is Taylor Swift appearing in the movie as Dazzler. This is one of the most persistent rumors, being traced back at least a year ago to notable scoopers and leakers. It’s especially convincing when you take into account that Reynolds is a huge fan of Swift, and his better half Blake Lively is good friends with the artist.

Now some fans believe that Swift may have revealed (or confirmed) her cameo in the movie as Dazzler through her latest lyrics.

In the closing line of the last track on The Tortured Poets Department’s standard edition, titled “Clara Bow,” Taylor Swift declares, “The future’s bright, dazzling.” This choice of the word “dazzling” has sparked speculation that Swift might be hinting at a possible role in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’

I have to admit that this is quite a stretch, even for the MCU community, but who knows? She is known to include references and easter eggs in her songs.

Both Reynolds and Shawn Levy chimed in regarding Swift being in the movie. Reynolds commented months ago that he has heard about the rumors and all will be revealed when the movie finally releases.

Levy recently commented on the rumors after his CinemaCon Deadpool presentation.

I can’t even believe that you would dare ask me a question that you know I can’t answer.

This sparked even more rumors, so it’s really a non-answer. While Dazzler (Allison Blair) hasn’t been played by a musician before, the character’s punk-rock appearance has always been associated with Swift. The character has been played by Halston Sage (Dark Phoenix) and Alexandra Stoddart in the past, but MCU’s multiverse saga allows anyone to play the role as variants, and Swift is a perfect fit.
