Few movie friendships have lasted as well as the one at the heart of the ‘Pitch Perfect’ films. The a cappella comedy started in 2012 and grew into a trilogy, with ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ following in 2015 and ‘Pitch Perfect 3’ in 2017, the latter earning more than $185 million worldwide. Fans have been hoping for a ‘Pitch Perfect’ reunion ever since.

Chatter about a fourth film has never fully gone away, and the cast has kept the conversation alive. Brittany Snow has said she is optimistic that a fourth movie might happen one day, though the project’s status remains unclear. That made any sighting of the Bellas together feel like a treat.

On October 17, at the sixth annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles, fans got one. Anna Kendrick and Brittany Snow, who starred as Beca and Chloe in the franchise, posed together on the carpet in what was described as a cute ‘Pitch Perfect’ reunion moment.

Snow arrived in a slinky red sequined gown that comes straight from Max Mara’s Resort 2027 collection, minus the oversized coat it was paired with on the runway. In the carpet clip, the dress hugs her frame from a plunging V-neckline with delicate spaghetti straps down to the floor, with the sequins catching the light in a shimmering, scale-like pattern.

She kept the styling simple. Her blond hair falls in loose waves over her shoulders, and a small pendant necklace rests at her collarbone. The look was singled out as one of the night’s best-dressed.

Kendrick’s look had a very different shape. She wore a plunging peplum gown from Georges Chakra’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection, which gave her silhouette structure at the waist and a sharp, formal edge.

Seen side by side, the two outfits made a nice contrast: a fluid, sparkling column on one side and a sculpted peplum on the other. Both leaned into the glamour that the gala is known for.

This isn’t the first time Kendrick has stood out at the event. At the 2024 gala, she wore a royal blue sequin dress from Monique Lhuillier, fresh off the success of her directorial debut ‘Woman of the Hour.’ She was also at the 2025 edition.

Her gala history shows a steady comfort with eveningwear that mixes sparkle and polish. This year’s peplum felt like a bolder step in that direction.

Snow has been busy on the carpet and on screen. At the 2026 Golden Globes, she wore a white strapless Danielle Frankel gown with a low ponytail styled à la Gwyneth Paltrow at the 2012 Academy Awards. Her Netflix series ‘The Beast in Me’ was up for Best Television Limited Series.

She is also returning for the second season of ‘The Hunting Wives,’ with filming scheduled to continue until April 2026. The mix of dramatic and thriller roles has marked a shift for an actress long associated with musical comedy.

The night was packed with star duos. Sisters Elle and Dakota Fanning arrived together, and the ‘Pitch Perfect’ pair was another highlight of the evening. The wider guest list included Taylor Swift, Kate Hudson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Karlie Kloss and Maya Hawke.

In a field of dramatic gowns, Snow’s red sequins helped her lead the best-dressed lists, a nice moment for a franchise that has always valued a good performance as much as a good look.

Part of the appeal is simple nostalgia. ‘Pitch Perfect’ arrived at a moment when a cappella and campus comedy felt fresh, and its characters have stayed beloved. Seeing two of its stars arm in arm on a carpet taps into that affection.

It also reminds fans that the cast has stayed close. Whether or not a fourth film ever comes together, moments like this keep the Barden Bellas legacy alive.

After seeing Anna Kendrick and Brittany Snow reunite at the 2026 Academy Museum Gala, do you want a fourth Pitch Perfect movie?
